I've been proved wrong that spurs would be dripped by cash pressure

They are on track to cement their place as one of the big 3 IMO

They have neglected their back line

Their fullbacks are in a shambles (one recognised rb) I don’t rate their backup lb and rose doesn’t want to be there

    Sessegnon isn’t ready

2 of Their cbs are in the last 12 months of their deals too aren’t they as well

a bit hyperbolic, perhaps, but legitimate concerns.

I definitely didn't see the rush to move Trippier on. He had a rough season last year - Russia '18 (where he was quite good) won't have helped - but I'll wager he'll be closer to his prior form in the year to come. And I'd've definitely prefered him to Aurier, who is prone to mistakes. Presumably we had to sell to spend as much as we did, but that's not where I'd've preferred. Needless to say, I wasn't consulted. It's been pointed out, though, that Foyth has been being used at right back for Argentina, and has looked very good there, so maybe that's been factored in, as well.

Rose was really coming back on form in the Spring, Sess is in, and I rate Davies, so the left isn't a big worry for me. And barring injury to Verts & Toby, centerbacks are solid enough. Coverage isn't awesome, but it's adequate.

Most importantly, though, is that our midfield has been bolstered to give us more options, and I think we'll see our back four (when it's four) exposed a lot less this year. Three and four years ago our defense was much more solid than the last two years, but it wasn't really down to the defenders so much as the loss of effectiveness in front of them from players like Wanyama and Dembele (and Dier - briefly). If Ndombele and Lo Celso are anywhere near what's been advertised, in the end, I think we'll be significantly improved defensively.

But you're definitely correct in that we'll have questions to answer at the back next summer.

U have definitely relaxed dembele well but I feel like injuries may play a huge part in your sucess

at the back, as you say, they certainly could. Rose, Toby, and Verts have all had months-long injuries in the past, and we'll feel it if it happens again.

elsewhere, we're pretty deep now. we have lots of options, for not just 'who' but 'how'.

Yeah u have a very solid midfield and attack now

I assume u will line up

    ...........Kane
    Son.......lo Celso..moura
    .......winks...ndoumbele
    Rose..Toby..vert...(forget his name)
    .............lloris

Not a bad lineup but Sanchez is the only good backup defender imo

with recent additions, I think you'll see Dele pushed forward a bit more, where he was at his most effective a couple seasons back.

but, yeah, he's got questions to answer or he may struggle for minutes.

    I think he’s a luxury player

Maybe he slots in for lo Celso and lo Celso goes deeper?

Pretty routine result for Pool. Smashed the newly promoted team, Fauxstralia, and to be honest I didn't rate Norwich as much of a chance to stay up but Pool played kinda "eh" and had 4 past them to HT.

I saw some of the game

It was interesting Norwich tried to play proper football but simply couldn't make much progress

Dele is a very good player - obviously wasn't up to his usual standards last season but to post those numbers aged 21/22 is elite

30' to go through the mid-day matches and only Bournemouth and BHA have a goal. Suspect Citeh and 'Pool have used up the goal allotment for the day.

    Dele is a luxury player

Not a great passer and can’t tackle well

    Purely a ss imo

Lol wut? Dele is a great tackler for an am and an even better presser. I’d take him in a heartbeat, especially since he’s still so young. His numbers were down last season because he had to play deeper since Spurs midfield was made of papier-mâché. His only liability is his injury history.

    I don’t rate him

    He had a purple patch

Not a good enough dribbler or quick enough as an am

Not a good defender as a cm

Yeah Dele doesn’t pass and doesn’t defend. He’s not a midfielder.

And if you consider him a striker his output isn’t as stellar. It’s nice for a player the age he was when he blew up but it’s not outlier stuff.

He’s an am who produces good defensive numbers for a cm. I don’t know what you actually want from him. He’s better than any midfielder Arsenal currently have, and it’s not close.

You don’t own Ceballos and Dele is a vastly better player than Guendouzi.
