Its great to see that he really work hard and trying to improve , must be still disappointed with his own performance at u20 WC round 16, he missed so many sitters which proof to be costly. He always run & gets himself in scoring position so its only about improving his finishing.

Hopefully we will win the final and he'll remains as top scorer. Being top scorer will no doubt improve his confidence even more.

So, apparently, Lo Celso is a loan deal... with an obligation to buy next season. It is kinda fascinating. This is what I read.

"Think about this protracted transfer saga this summer for Giovani Lo Celso. The major problem with it and the reason that it’s taken so long is that Real Betis has a sell-on clause, reportedly 20%, to Paris St. Germain, Lo Celso’s old club. That means that whatever the transfer fee made by Tottenham Hotspur for Lo Celso’s contract is, 20% of it goes immediately to PSG.

That’s a problem. Naturally, that means that Betis wants to get as much as humanly possible for Lo Celso because otherwise they could end up barely making a profit after signing him from PSG earlier this summer. And that’s meant that the two clubs have been at loggerheads for who knows how long, staring each other down — Tottenham knowing that Betis need to sell and that there weren’t any other clubs interested in Lo Celso at the rate Spurs were willing to pay, and Betis knowing that Spurs really, REALLY want this guy and could pay more if forced to.

Now, imagine you’re Daniel Levy. Spurs may or may not have a great deal of liquidity this summer, even if they have funds available heading into the future. But that pesky sell-on clause means that they’ll basically be paying PSG a non-trivial amount of money to get their guy. There are also other transfer deadline day deals that you’re working on too, all of which needs money upfront. I wonder if there’s a way around this, you wonder. "

So Levy engineers a loan deal with a guaranteed obligation to buy. Functionally, that’s not much different than buying the player outright. However, while we don’t know all the details, presumably this does the following:

    • Increases the total bid amount so Betis are happier with the overall fee
    • Structures the deal so that Spurs presumably are able to pay less upfront than what they normally would, which frees up more funds for... hello Paulo Dybala
    • Screws over PSG by having what is probably a fairly large loan fee (maybe something close to the amount that Spurs wanted to pay upfront for Lo Celso anyway), which then reduces the total purchase price, thereby making their 20% cut smaller.
That is absolute GENIUS. I mean, if I’m PSG, I’m probably furious, but for everyone else involved in the deal, it’s a fair and equitable arrangement.

So, I'm reading Tottenham are going to save 40ME from this right now, that 40ME appears to be the fee that Dybala's old company who apparently owns his image rights are asking for.

Initially, I wasn't expecting Dybala to go to Tottenham because of the image rights issue but perhaps there could be some hope.

Okay, so, it is being reported that Dybala has already said his goodbyes to his teammates at Juventus. A bit of a shame which way the club turned over the last year. A very short-sighted approach. Unless they're trying to bring in Neymar to play alongside Cristiano, I don't understand why Juve is selling off their young forwards, Kean and now Dybala. So, they'll be left with Cristiano and Fatso? Oh well.

So, now the BBC is reporting the news of Dybala to Tottenham is pretty close.

If it goes through, a team with Dybala, Lo Celso, Foyth, Coco and Gazzaniga. Treat our boys right, Poch... Don't turn in Cholo where they all have suffered. But I do have to say it is hard not to get excited to have Lo Celso, Dybala and maybe even Foyth play on a regular basis, together.

This flip flopping is so annoying. Even with Boca the transfers are always a roller coaster. I don't even know why I pay attention. Whoever shows up, shows up, whoever goes, goes. No point in following any news about it.

Also how does Honduras go from being destroyed 12-0 to Norway in U20 WC and then make final of Pan Am? I don't know how similar the rosters were but I assume it's the same age group more or less.

Different head coach.. Fabian Coito coaches the U23s while some local hack coached the U20s. Different roster too.. Very different roster.

Italian sides are known for their love for old players. Many players play in that league till late 30s or even 40.

Good for Lo Celso. I do have to say I am a bit bummed that Dybala won’t be joining him.

I also don’t understand what Inter are doing. They’re being linked Dzeko as well... Do they realize that they have Lautaro...? And a rumored Dybala for Icardi switch? What a shitshow and a shit club both really are.

    The hell with the tanos.

I haven't watched Inter's preseason games, but just by eyeballing at the recent line ups it seems they are using a 3-5-2 formation. I'm hoping, this means a two striker partnership with Lukaku and Lautaro.

That would be a good move I think. He's no doubt can be our future #9 since Wanda's boy decided to kill his own career. For a 6'3 forward, he looks quick and mobile.

7 minutes in and we take the lead in the gold medal match. Nice strike by Urzi.

About 30 minutes gone and we’re not exactly playing well. It appears we are countering and then trying to control possession. No real direction and not much going on offensively. Defensively, we are fine, nothing has really worried us.

    Almost conceided...great save.

They scored from similar situation. Reminds me of the game against Ghana. We're too easy to be countered, just like the senior side.

1-1. Gave up a foolish rebound right in the center of the pitch.

Defending has been poor, everytime goalie made a good saves, no one would clears it, they just stand there. There was similar situation about 5 minutes earlier before Honduras actually scored.

Indeed. It appears they can’t handle Honduras’ pace.

Which is why it reminds me of the game against Ghana in u20 WC. Opponent rely on pace and direct counter and we could deal with it,

Colombatto... almost, what a stunning FK that was. How is this guy still in the Serie B? I mean, whenever I’ve seen him play, he’s always done impressed. I know it is a small sample but you would think he would get picked up for a first division side.

Gaich with a great run and shot that was saved. Once again, he’s impressed. He’s worked very hard for the team.

Just came back from post office and missed the 2nd and 3rd goal but we're winning this tournament and Gaich remained as top scorer.

Nice fouling by our player, that's how you stop counter. Another great tackle inside the box.
