The solution to this BS situation is simple. Negotiate a rental agreement with OWU for Jay Martin complex. It nearly rivals Obetz as it is. Plenty of practice fields and even stadium. Lockers rooms might be a little less than desired but sufficient for short term. https://goo.gl/maps/Nujtznf6BUa8ME59A
Here’s a thing OFFICIAL: Legends & @ColumbusCrewSC are partnering around project development and commercial sales rights for the Crew's new stadium and team training facility in Columbus, Ohio. #Crew96More: https://t.co/bI2VmHc00n pic.twitter.com/hCWPXAScX9— Legends (@TheLegendsWay) July 29, 2019
Wonder if this is neutral, or points one way or the other in terms of the unique/conformist conundrum on the stadium.
I'm not sure what you mean by that, but they already service the Browns, and US Soccer, apparently. Any Browns fans able to chime in on what this means. Whatever US Soccer uses them for, I'm not seeing it, or I'm not impressed.

@cleazer, I had meant to post in the STH Thread about the email on auto renewal. When will be seeing what the prices are for next season? Those of us that jumped in prior to the hike are about to see bump this time around.
What's with the change on some of these parking prices? I'd rather pay $20 than $9.01 and get $0.99 change! WTF?
I’d assume neutral. From the press release it sounds like this company will be working with the team for marketing and fan experience within the new stadium and training facility. Here’s a bit of the release: “Legends will work with the organization across multiple areas including, project planning and development, sponsorship and ticket sales, naming rights, marketing, technology innovations, data insights and analytics. Legends has already delivered key business intelligence data on planning and design for the future stadium through its proprietary approach to gathering targeted market-specific information. By conducting focus groups, surveys and utilizing other research-driven tools Legends has been able to analyze feedback from Columbus Crew ticket holders, fans and the broader Columbus, Ohio community.” https://www.columbuscrewsc.com/pos...ide-ranging-partnership-agreement-new-stadium
For the 3 Canadian teams, it's just a currency conversion. No idea why Houston or NYC charge those amounts. Maybe there are taxes added to make it come out even?
So someone calculated a weighted average based on the number of seats available at various prices in each stadium? Yikes. That Bernhardt level statistical obsession right there.
It would be interesting to somehow normalize these prices based on average income and the differences in the average cost of different items by area. Almost anything you buy in NYC is going to cost more than if you buy it in Columbus or Cincinnati or Kansas City. However, people in NYC are paid more to do a job than what someone in one of the other cities would be paid. A first year auditor at Deloitte in the Columbus office might make $52k/year while a first year auditor at Deloitte in the NYC office might make $70k/year. As a result, the $10 difference between Columbus and NYRB prices isn't much of a difference at all and the fact that KC is $5 more actually equates to much more than $5 once you normalize for these factors.
Legends is big. World class big. They run Yankee Stadium. AT&T. LAFC , Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Man City, Wimbledon, Indy 500. On and on. They are the biggest and beat agency of it's kind in the world. This is huge. Big big news here. They dont work cheap and they dont work for losers. This is simply stunning news.
I get that; I saw the list of clientele. But what exactly do they do? Just a marketing data analysis firm? There's a lot of buzzwords on the website, but what tangible things will fans get from this relationship?
Well, of course they handle different stuff for different clients, but what they're about is customer0 experience, hospitality and operations.
I would imagine they will have a significant impact on the pubs rumored and I would expect big upgrades in the suite experience at the new stadium. Likely a private level and probably a step up from Nationwide Arena which has a strong suite game themselves. OSU removed seats and is putting new suites in themselves, it is where the big bucks are at and the club is bringing all the right players in. This will not be a cookie cutter basic erector set we love today. Closer to an LAFC, which I hear good things about the stadium out there in terms of a modern next gen facility.
The Haslams are going to drag this franchise kicking and screaming into MLS 3.0 (or whatever version we're on now. I'm so excited to see what they do with media relations. I'm effing sick and tired of the Columbus Crew being an afterthought to 99% of Columbus sports media personnel.
Nah, there's no way they have a director-level position splitting time - especially since it's a strategic role.
