There is a slight difference between calling a season champ and the winner of a two team final. Maybe you can ponder that while waiting. Meanwhile, I am now irrationally optimistic because the Argudo revolution has begun, viva Argudo!
This might be the first game that Caleb out coached his opponent. It was fun to watch even with the mistakes. Caleb for President, Hang can have the VP spot to keep him in check. Life is Good!
1) I don't know if this is the first time I've posted this or not, and I can't for the life of me see why it matters but if it makes you happy, go for it. BMG. 2) I didn't pick the Crew to win back in March either. I doubt much of anyone did. But that's hardly the point, is it? Neither, however, did I announced on TV that it was IMPOSSIBLE forthe Crew to win it. See the difference there, Sparky? Most people whose IQ hits triple digits can differentiate between a) picking a winner out of a 20 team crowd 8 months in advance and b) swearing that a given team has NO chance whatsoever. Again, this is not that complicated, unless, like you, someone is determined to be a jerk. In which case, again, enjoy. Everybody should do what they're good at.
Yeah, YouTube TV is excellent. With all of the sports channels that are with it, I’m probably saving $100 per month.
Yes. Always nice to beat a Chris Armas coached team. You know if Crew end this season with positive showings. Now not a playoff spot, but some more wins. Young guys getting time. Clean up the roster by next March. Another acquisition or two. Then I do not think anyone with brains would laugh at a comment about Crew being in contention going forward. Not again since Crew have capable owners, a lights-out president, and a win-or-get-fukt coach.
We won at New York. Enjoy it, chief. Stop playing the victim. What some announcers said 11 1/2 years ago really doesn’t matter to this team today. It’s a win, and it’s onto the next one.
@Grouchy, thank you for the beer recommendation. I bought two six-packs this morning. Timo works at Tri-C in Westlake. You scored me lots of points with that buy. So thanks. Band practice is going on while a horde of kids are playing laser-x in the upstairs. Crew game replay on amongst the craziness. That Argudo goal was sweet. The long, targeted ball by Crognale. Head-flick by Zardes. Finish by Argudo while red smoke is still going on. How lovely.
He played like a cheap, dirty punk and his team is a reflection of him. The abuse Parker was giving Zardes off the ball, particularly in the first half, was outrageous. But the whole team hacks and hacks and hacks. Which, I guess, if it works and you can get away with it, it's not like they're the firs team to play that way. But when you've got no Plan B you've got a problem. Like last night. And love Porter or hate him, he schooled Armas like a poor kid repeating the third grade. Well said.
Instead telling you to go to time out or to stand in the corner, I want to give you love, hang. Love is all you need.
I thought it was Absurd that Parker got no yellow. Maybe I’m a prick but i would have gave a 12 yr old a yellow but anyone over 18 personally i would send them off because it was intentional, dangerous and unnecessary
I wasn't sure if it truly was a MLS intern putting together the standing or a Calvinball rule. I stand corrected. It's the "MLS is cooler than the rest of the world so we'll use our own non-traditional tiebreaker system".
He did get a yellow. It wasn't shown on TV but I remember seeing the "yellow card" thingie come up and then checked the boxscore after the match.
I use PS VUE and between that, Netflix and Amazon Prime I have everything I need for around $150 less than I had with DirecTV.
Sibling makes some good beer. Las night, I drank Lager Heads German Lager. Perfectly fine beer and I enjoy it but it doesn't make the must buy list.
Sadly the grocery store does not carry that particular kind. So I bought two other kinds from that Brewing Co. I could watch all three of those goals again and again. One from back. One from the left side. One from the right side. All from the run of play. As shaky as our backline can be, I am glad Crew had dibs on Room. He makes me feel a lot more confident than that guy who did not move or if he did bother to move, then it was in slow-motion.
There are some weird ones. Spain uses head to head (or they used to) as the first TB. MLS uses: wins, GD, goals scored. IDK what is 4th. But the standings guy/gal has it right, even though it looks weird with our GD.
But you’re trying to make the man out to be a complete blithering idiot because 11 years ago, he used hyperbole to express the notion that the Columbus Crew were not going to win MLS Cup in a preseason prediction. The horror. I would say that’s a pretty lame reason to hold a grudge against somebody this many years later, and would also constitute being a jerk. But to each his own.
Can this really be the only thing you k ow about Messing? Seriously? The man has been a pustule on the anus of American soccer for 30 years. I cited one example, because its lose to home. I dont bother ticking off the myriads of stupidity that has rolled out of his mouth, like his suggestion that the Galaxy trade Beckham.to Chivas. But fine, yes you're right. The man's a well respected.genius. Brilliant really. Shame on me Moron
We just need to stop this Messing around and enjoy the win. After that, look forward to an old school Clash coming up next.
