This is good. James Harden buys 5% of the Houston Dynamo and Dash. Now the Dynamo roster page has Hardenesque beards added to the players. https://www.houstondynamo.com/players
Not that any of these rivalry names are good, but... Is this THE dumbest name ever, or the dumbest name EVER? Any native/fluent speakers able to explicate how "the traffic" equals derby or what have you?
I don't speak spanish, but it's called that because of the traffic in LA between the two stadia. It's a joke, old man.
Us OLD guys are still alive and kicken! Just not to high and Holden on to something so we don't fall down!
To pretend I know anything about any of the rotating 'hot new social apps' is a fruitless endeavor. I'm an enterprise man. Both in IT and sc-fi. PCMR.
You mean all the donkeys, horses, conquistadors and covered wagons that go up and down the pike between the two villages?
For what it's worth: Meram started as a wingback today. I wonder why Soccer Geniuses Caleb Porter and Gregg Berhalter never thought of that?
Because he doesn’t have the speed to push forward to join the attack and he doesn’t even play defense when playing in the midfield?
You know, I haven’t bothered to watch FCC much this season. But I did check out their match today against the Revs. What a godawful team. To think we’re only 4 points ahead of them, and they have a game in hand. Regardless, they’re an order of magnitude worse than anything I’ve seen from the Crew this season. Plus, we’re bringing in new talent, while they think it’s adequate to announce they’re going with an 18 month interim coach appointment. Curious to see what season ticket renewals will be in Cincinnati for next season.
Oh, I agree with you there. I honestly don’t know where he’s been playing in their formation. I assumed it’s as an outside midfielder. Based on his skillset and his tendencies, I just think putting him as a wingback doesn’t make sense.
He's been everywhere from outside forward to, today, wingback. Which was, poorly stated, my point. FdB knows the guy has talent, so he's just moving him around to keep him in the lineup until he finds his rhythm. Seems to me that Gregg, and to a greater extent Porter, could and should have done the same thing rather than just saying "well, he's not doing what we want as a winger, let's bench/trade him." Sure, there's probably more to his performance woes in Columbus than meets the eye, but knowing that your coach has confidence enough in you to keep you on the field has to do wonders for confidence.
Well, if you don’t give your coach a REASON to have confidence in you, he won’t. There wasn’t a single person involved with Columbus — player, coach, fan — who thought Meram belonged in the lineup by the time he got shipped out. The facts haven’t changed on that. If the change of scenery gives him a resurgence, good for him. Let’s see if it lasts.
Chicago fire to play in Chicago starting next season. And just like that, a stadium rendering baby is conceived! #cf97 will play the 2020 season at Soldier Field. one of the other screenshots said "see the full video from Thursday's press conference at Soldier Field" so that page showed up about 3 days too early
