Hellas Verona is a team that could low key use a few Americans out there. Theyre gonna have a mountain to climb for survival, but are a sleeping giant.
English teams are notorious for overpricing players. He wont go near that amount. I think everything says Fiorentina offered 8 mil with the initial offer
I would contribute $100 to the transfer, because watching Trapp get smoked every week in Serie A would be amazing.
The Chelsea Loan Army is playing against Stade Rennais & Miazga is starting Miazga starting vs Rennais with Chelsea's loan army. https://t.co/GfmDJWLXsj— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) July 18, 2019
Question: How many times does is take for a phony baloney transfer rumor originally churned out of someone's twitter account and thereafter replicated on other twitter accounts until the phony baloney transfer rumor actually becomes "true"?
The only thing that might be capable of stopping this runaway train would be a flat-out denial from Commiso, which no one would believe anyway, so hang on tight.
I have been trying to find a link of a stream but no luck - I did get this photo of Miagza defending though from the Stade Rennais twitter site 📸 @ecama10 dans son ancien jardin de l'@agldfougeres.#SRFCCFC 0-0 pic.twitter.com/WUIfJprWYE— Stade Rennais F.C. (@staderennais) July 18, 2019 ahh - I found someone posting a stream of this match Rennes 0-1 Chelsea (seconde mi-temps) https://t.co/5dVsWvNyMB— Pep Khénésio (@GuillaumeFerand) July 18, 2019 also note who is wearing the armband - it's Matt
Lampard - the new manager of Chelsea - has been on the field and played in actual matches vs Miazga....gotta be a first in Yanks Abroad history (FWIW Miazga's team dominated NYCFC during Lampard's tenure...NYRB was 3-0 vs NYCFC in 2015 Matt's last year in the league) https://www.google.com/search?q=201...TF-8#sie=m;/g/11hczft_8w;2;/m/0jfpf;ln;fp;1;; Does everyone think that that is irrelevant? I don't..... Not saying Lampard will definitely use Miazga...but the fact that Miazga has beaten Lampard in a match before cannot hurt his chances of getting a chance with Chelsea.... would be kinda weird if Frank told Matt he is not good enough for the squad when Lampard (who had delayed his start with NYCFC to finish the year - fresh from performing well in the EPL - couldn't do much vs Miazga and co...4 years ago!) Does anyone think that Lampard's prior MLS experience/exposure to Miazga might help him out at all here?
Maybe only to go out and have a pint with the boss and laugh about that league that we used to play in. And, hopefully Frank picks up the tab.
That is pretty cool, and an interesting anecdote. Probably has just about zero to do with what Frank actually does with Miazga. As others have pointed out, he's quite far down their CB depth chart.
Don't know about "giants," but Hellas Verona has a reputation as the base of some of the most racist fans in the world. If Lazio is the fort of the neo-Nazis, mainly a political option, Verona is the base of the white supremacists, who not always agree with the Nazis --even some of their fan clubs are left-wing, but still exclusionary. Anyway, for an overview: http://www.thehardtackle.com/2014/hellas-verona-the-most-racist-fans-in-all-of-italy/ https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...13/hellas-verona-serie-alternative-club-guide
What about any of that has anything to do with them "low key needimg Americans" or being a sleeping giant??? I think club politicization is often overblown. Certainly, I don't think our Yanks are often affected by them. It's not like we've seen any through-lines with political clubs abd American players. Whether it's Livorno/St. Pauli, Lazio/Leeds, or Celtic/Rangers. As an aside, "White Supremacy" is really silly, especially in Europe. First of all, "White" as we use it now, is an adopted Americanism, which seems weird in Europe, a place that's mostly White people. And second, for most of our history, people from Southern Europe were considered too dark-skinned to be "White", though them being Catholic was also a negative.
Indeed it is. Globalization brings migration and people don't take too well to outsiders, not when they bid down the price of unskilled labour, but especially when they do better than the locals. Ask the Zimbabweans (unskilled labour) and Somalis (traders and shopkeepers) in South Africa.
https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/reading-fc-make-defender-michael-16615651 I don't know what the odds of Mizaga returning to Reading were but they have signed former Birmingham City captain and fellow CB, Michael Morrison, to a two-year deal. I assume this deal kills any return for Miazga.
