Wednesday results: New England beat Vancouver 4-0, while Atlanta defeated Houston 5-0 (Elis with an early red card).
Iker Casillas given coaching role at Porto two months after having heart attack Iker Casillas reveals new role at Porto during recovery
Hey.Welcome to @MLS.Happy you didn’t take anyone’s team away from their city. https://t.co/U7s0CggTKo— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) July 18, 2019
Again with the level of the league. Sounds like sour grapes to me..... He should go back and see which team will give a 38 year old forward $7 million! Glad he is on the Gals wasting time and money....
So Fiats are not on the level of Europe? Your Background: You’re white. Really white. You grew up in the suburbs of any North American city, but really like to think of yourself as refined, cultural and European. You were born in the wrong decade on the wrong continent. You yearn for a small village cafe on the Swedish coast, despite the closest place you can get coffee from the house you grew up in is a 7/11. Now you live in an urban area, but not a trendy one, because you can’t afford it. You have a film camera, likely more than one. You drink craft beer. You have a background in the arts and listen to obscure bands on vinyl. You also own a bike, which will come in handy as you won’t be driving your Volvo very much. The Car: Do you want ads that have the soundtrack, visual style and length of a feature film at a foreign film festival? Well, you’re in luck! That’s all of Volvo’s ads. Snap your fingers in appreciation at the arty, moody, depressing locale, music and actors. Is this a car ad? Who knows! https://oppositelock.kinja.com/why-your-automotive-subculture-sucks-volvo-owners-1835663636
Portland tied tonight at home against Orlando. They have a game in hand and 6 fewer points than the Quakes.
It’s the same old story from Big name players who can't handle MLS. When they do or play poorly, it’s always that the level of the league is crap. I see Rooney performing well and a few others but my question is if they are supposed to be these all world players, why do they struggle more often than not? To name a few, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Kaka, Pirlo and Márquez all had problems. The bottom line is , if MLS was as crappy as everyone says it is, these top players should be dominating the league and the clearly don’t because it is not as easy as they initially perceived it to be.
Meanwhile, in Smog Town: https://www.angelsonparade.com/2019...galaxy-game-canceled-en-masse-on-unjust-basis
Somehow there is a Weird Al remake of Swing Town called Smog Town (and could even include being rejected for seats).
That’s fascinating, that LAFC fans were able to buy hundreds of seats in the LAG supporters sections.
It's Hollywood. The respective "fans" are all the same extras from the same Screen Actors Guild. Easy to get the tickets confused.
I think it's been a well refereed game so far. I don't like how soft some of the fouls are to Attuna and Vela though (so much looking for contact and diving).
Thought I would stay mum on that. We don’t have to trumpet his achievements, he does that admirably all by himself!
And so do his many followers on Twitter, apparently unaware of a team called the San Jose Earthquakes. So by transitive properties, if Gal>FC, SJE > Gal > FC too
Even though the win pushes the Galaxy farther up the table from the Quakes, I’m glad they won. I do enjoy the sour Bob Bradley face.....
They see it as a retirement league. an easy paycheck before hanging up their cleats. Plus they're used to the most amazing service from their teammates throughout their careers and the best coaching humanly possible. when they come to MLS it's like going back to college. They're probably frustrated and don't give enough fudge to actually figure out the way to play in MLS.
I enjoyed following El Trafico on the social media. Gal fans trumpeting Zlatan when just three weeks ago, he got neither Jack nor squat against us at Stanford, and the same against us last week except Jack left town.
