Like I said, I’m sure it’s not true... But there would be something uniquely Arsenal about it if it were. We could buy Zagadou, Tierney and Nkunku for less than that, but let’s buy a grossly overpriced attacker instead!
Scottish media saying you guys are going to drop 25million quid on Tierney. A guy who is hurt and been out for three months.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm wondering if the plans at CB involve moving Kolasinac there? There's been no mention of him which makes me wonder
So far this transfer window seems to be pretty slow. Chelsea, Leicester City and Everton have made loan moves permanent. But as I see it, the only signings with the potential to significantly improve team rosters over last season, have been Rodri for Manchester City, Ndembele for Tottenham, Wan-Bissaka for United, and Fornals for West Ham. So there may be hope yet.
Rumors that we have finally agreed a fee with Celtic over Tierney. However, Celtic not high on our proposed payment structure. Claims from Brazil that we have made an offer for Gremio's winger Everton. The player confirms we have approached him. There are reports that we have listed Nketiah for loan. Edu's role with the Brazilian NT was identifying young players with dual citizenship (Brazil + other) and convincing them to represent Brazil. There are claims that Raul is hoping he can leverage those connections to identify young, inexpensive South Americans with European passports
It is minor. We fecked it last season by trying to rush him back too soon. The season before last he played over 50 matches for us and played just about every minute of those matches. If you take into account international appearances then he probably topped 60 games that season. Kieran Tierney is most certainly not an injury prone player. His situation was exacerbated by the club. Problem with the new offer though is it's £25mill built on incentives or add ons. Celtic aren't going to go for that. We don't need to and Kieran won't make waves within the club to push to leave. He came through the youth system. He was a ball boy at the club. He has an affinity to the club. Naturally he wants to better himself and I, and the vast majority of Celtic supporters have no problem with him doing that. Obviously moving out of Scotland needs to happen for him sooner or later. He's looking at Andy Robertson and seeing the strides he has made in a few seasons from playing in the EPL. So Arsenal are going to have to offer close to the £25mill with as little add-ons as possible. Our manager has come out in public and said the price is £25mill. We can't back down from that now and, again, nor do we need to. Rumour is Zenit may be willing to offer £10mill for Rogic and N'tcham is almost certainly out the door to either Marseille or Porto for £7-8mill. Offer the price and Arsenal get their man.
