Thank god LAFC have Los Angeles Football Club co-owner charged with stealing $43 million in client funds A co-owner of the Los Angeles Football Club has been charged with orchestrating a scheme to gain control over two investment advisory firms so he and a partner could steal $43 million of client funds purportedly to invest in American Indian tribal bonds. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission alleges in a civil lawsuit that Jason Sugarman, a Los Angeles financier who also has ties to the L.A. Dodgers and Golden State Warriors, pocketed about $9 million in the scheme. More info in link above.
David Beckham scores soccer stadium deal in Fort Lauderdale https://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/...0190710-w7gm3ct3hnbgfispluuwhaaqly-story.html
They've got 8 months. I thought this was already done deal and had started. I wonder how long of a road trip they will be on to start their first season?
Charlotte making lots of noise but I can't see a team with an NFL stadium getting in. I know Atlanta did it but this stadium isn't brand new, just reconfigured. Detroit already has this plan with a few billionaires instead of one with 12 billion.
It's hard for me to see MLS rejecting Tepper. He has very deep pockets, a decent market, and a stadium that's already built. MLS will no doubt go past 30 teams and Charlotte looks likely to get in.
Thanks for posting because now I learned Ft. Lauderdale is really opposed to calling it Ft. Lauderdale as opposed to Fort Lauderdale.
Why do I think that this is going to be their final stadium and that Miami will never allow an MLS stadium to be built in their city?
