Yeah, she was terrible. LaVelle and Dunn were the best players, to me.

Lavelle scores a wonder goal and you give player of the match to the penalty taker who had to be subbed off and created almost zero opportunities?

    True, and I don't disagree.
But imagine it the other way around.
What if you have a player lighting up the field with amazing moves all over the field, steps up to the spot, and... misses. :cry:o_O:eek:

She gets the kudos in my book for taking some extremely amazing and pressure-packed PKs in the knockouts.

Just shows how little most people really know about soccer. Rapinoe was not very good the entire tournament. Except she can take PKs. POTM today and Golden Boot winner. Good for her but hardly earned.

If that is true then whoever makes that selection needs to have their lobotomy reversed.

The POM should be either Ertz or Lavelle. In this case the POM should be given for the defensive effort that Ertz and Lavelle put in.

Ok my last and final dig at Rapinoe....

She’s spent hours of practice on PK’s, now it’s time to get a sprint coach. Lol

This is a bunch if bs. Rapinoe had some great play this tournament. No player perfect every game and every match, but she creates opportunities, is by far our best set piece taker. and she converted plenty this tournament. Not to mention her mental her mental toughness which filters confidence to the entire team.

I think it's named by VISA. They definitely pick the most popular players and not the best players.

Morgan got it vs England. Should have went to Naeher.
Heath got it vs Sweden somehow.

Rapinoe, Heath and Morgan got 6 of the 7 Player of the Match and Endler (Chile GK) got the other.

Rapinoe... least deserving Golden Ball winner ever. Was just awful excluding PK's.

Lavelle with the Bronze Ball...well deserved. With one game exception, she had an excellent tournament.

Rapinoe gets Golden Ball off the numbers, I think.

IF you think Rapinoe was good this tournament outside of her PKs then I don't know what to tell you. Here's a hint. Read through the posts just from the last hour.

I don't disagree about the golden ball.
Who do you think was deserving of it?
