Official and confirmed: Joao Felix is new Atlético Madrid player, here we go! €126M to Benfica, deal done 🔴⚪️ #JoaoFelix #transfers #Atléti #AtleticoMadrid— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 26, 2019 Unreal
It isn't 20ME + Areola. Di Marzio says "Donna for 50ME", then "Areola for 30ME". That's different as Raiola won't accept any swap because it would mean lower agent's fees.
But 180ME (145+35 actually) was too much for MBappe. /s 126ME flat for Felix is insane, even by MBappe strandard. The latter proved so much more before his transfer, especially in CL.
De Ligt to Juve from Di Marzio: - 5 years contract - 12ME salary bonus included. - ~150ME release clause. - Raiola went for Juve especially because of the release clause as they are banned in France. It made the biggest difference when comparing the two offers. Translation: De Ligt goes there because Raiola told him to, but he still wants to join Farca so he wanted a release clause. People will say no way Farca will pay 150ME in 2 years but given their incredible record at paying a fortune way above players values, I bet they will if De Ligt has an incredible season at Juve. Maybe as soon as next summer.
In 2 years time, I could definitely see that release clause being paid by Barca or Madrid. It's in the stars already.
I wonder how Juve fans feel going from WC club to Stepping Stone club. When it was brought up about Pogba when he left, some of their fans got all angry with "it was Juve that wanted to part" as excuse. It was reality after all. They are becoming a club for old superstars (Ronaldo), and stepping club for promising superstars (De Ligt).
Imagine guys if RM had signed MBappe with a 200-250ME release clause because he wants to join another club in a few years time? This place would burn as all RM fans places on the web would. We trash PSG, me first, but as an RM fan, I totally understand if PSG refused that. That's totally insulting. The bad publicity about becoming a SS club would be worse than not signing de Ligt.
The market is crazy, and keeps going crazier. Either you accept it, and try to do the best deals possible like Zidane, and Flo are doing since Zidane came back or you totally refuse reality, and you end up like Bayern till this summer that didn't want to be part of it, and as a result did failed transfers like Hummels or kept old players even if they are finished. Pretty happy that now we are not refusing reality. It doesn't mean to offer 500ME for MBappe, but to accept the time when you could buy a very good proven player for 25ME or a promised EU superstar for 50ME is behind us. We still did pretty great on promising south american players, and yet many people said 40ME for 18yo players is already indecent. Makes me even more happy about that Hazard deal.
Ridiculous fee. Good on Benfica to hold out and get that amount. I have nothing against the kid but I hope this transfer ends up a complete disaster.
Compare and contrast. Tomorrow’s cover of EMD: Dembele, the key to signing Neymar. He hasn’t fitted in and his sale would make room for the Brazilian... pic.twitter.com/ylFpjPJv1o— Sid Lowe (@sidlowe) June 26, 2019 Last Thursday’s cover of EMD: Club reassures Dembele he won’t be sold. pic.twitter.com/f7JIN3WLj6— Sid Lowe (@sidlowe) June 26, 2019
That's worse than that. SPORT announces on tomorrow cover that Dembele would be in the deal for Neymar. MD announces Dembele to Bayern is the key to get money for Neymar. Catalan press are a total unbeaten joke. « Le PSG veut Dembélé » en Une de @sport.Paris demande à ce que Dembélé soit inclus dans le transfert de Neymar, en plus de Coutinho. pic.twitter.com/m0MGEyd2ge— Actu Foot (@ActuFoot_) June 26, 2019
I'm not sure where the Bayern interest comes from. If they were having fits because a coach smoked then I don't see them tolerating his behavior as much as Barca. Although they are replacing Robbery, so they do need a player like him.
Yesterday, someone from Bayern officially confirmed they contacted Dembele's agent in march. Here where it comes from. The thing is, it was months ago, but MD doesn't care, and runs a story with it as if it was yesterday.
As others have said, it is hilarious to watch the cules debase themselves for a player who shat on them. Even if I hope it doesn’t happen.
Dembele is considered an option if they miss out on Sane. Not a main interest guy, more of a "break glass in case of emergency" type thing.
PSG opened an academy in Düsseldorf. Its the first of 20 PSG football academies in Germany, the teams are also supposed to play youth league matches, with Gladbach and other German clubs pushing back claiming that PSG are trying to steal German talents and that it's bizarre that teams would be playing in Germany wearing the PSG emblem.
Jasper Cillessen was bought for 12m, he only played 30 games in 3 years and sold for 35m ..yes I am belive it . I think its a trick for the FFP
FA shouldn't allow foriegn teams to play in national youth league system imo. Let them buy a German club if they want to expand like City group does.
De Ligt | PSG refused to agree to player's terms due to 'a matter of ethics and respect', report RMC. The €150m exit clause was deemed unreasonable, with a source at the club saying: "When you've just arrived, to already be wanting things to leave, it's not classy."— Sport Witness (@Sport_Witness) June 27, 2019 RMC also point out that such a clause isn't legal in France, but PSG could have got around it with some sort of private agreement. They didn't want to.— Sport Witness (@Sport_Witness) June 27, 2019 Well, know your place PSG. Other top talents have seen how Neymar and Mbappe regrets going to this bloated club. [emoji23]
