Don't have a lot of time to research this right now, but wanted to at least get the thread started: Dossmann's parents are from Germany and he speaks German fluently, I'm told. He has been in with the U.S. Youth National Team in the past. Dossmann, born in 2003, is one to watch as a left center back.— J.R. Eskilson (@JREskilson) June 26, 2019

Here's the first tweet to go with falsenine's: Told that De Anza Force CB Niklas Dossmann did not play tonight against Real Colorado in the Boys DA U17 quarterfinal because his new club requested he sit out the rest of the event. Been informed that Dossmann is joining FSV Mainz (Germany) next season.— J.R. Eskilson (@JREskilson) June 26, 2019
This appears to be official, as he's listed on the club's U17 roster page (without photo) for the coming season. https://www.mainz05.de/nachwuchs/juniorenbereich/u17/
he started the 1st 7 games for the club but was subbed out in the 60th min on matchday 7 and from matchday 8-present he's been MIA it seems he's likely injured. the Mainz U17 team is excellent this season they are doing well along with Hoff U17 (their only loss of the season) and Bayern U17 (they beat Bayern in game 1) are so far title contenders for Sud/Sudwest. For such a smaller club they are attracting lots of interesting prospects that are present in U19 and lower.
Mainz U17 ended up being Sud/Sudwest champs in canceled season. He played 793 min but only started 3 of the last 7 matches from his return from likely injury. seems to be moving to Mainz U19. Although would be surprising if he's seen as 1st team prospect. Mainz U17 or more like U19 next season already have like 5 interesting 03, same age group.
last season in U19 and is only a bencher barely used. Also a lot of 03s trained and played with 1st in Summer and Dossmann wasn't one of them. at this point its usually telling if has 1st prospects or not.
He apparently played for their U19s today: https://www.worldfootball.net/repor...-2021-2022-spvgg-unterhaching-1-fsv-mainz-05/
gone from Mainz Central defender Niklas Dossmann, who played his last game in the 05 kit in Schifferstadt, scored the final point to make it 11:0. After graduating from high school, the 18-year-old terminates his contract with FSV and goes back to the United States. "The fact that Niklas was able to score the very last goal was of course the highlight of the game. The team gave him this goal - an absolutely wonderful gift." https://www.mainz05.de/news/u19-elf-tore-das-highlight-zum-schluss/
Listed with Oakland Roots' second team in USL2. TopDrawer lists him as committed to Michigan. https://www.uslleaguetwo.com/roster_players/55476200?subseason=800197
