Why is Mexican player being allowed to stay on the field after training staff came onto the field for him? I have never seen that allowed.
The guy makes no sense most of the time, but I am going to miss "OHHHHHHH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A SUPER-DUPER GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" once he is finally gone.
Haha Players should have to leave the field if the training staff comes out in all cases. The rule didn't need any tweaking. The ref has the discretion to allow that player back on quickly or make them wait. There was nothing wrong with this. I just don't get changing the rule to invite more faking. If the player is injured enough to need training staff to look at them they should leave the field for their own safety. It doesn't matter if they were fouled or not. I don't understand why they even looked at this rule.
Woah! Just got back from Brexitville and seem the Mexico score? If the USA had beaten Martinique by less than 4 goals the anti-MLS crowd on the USMNT board would have been wetting themselves.
This Bermuda-Nicaragua game looks like the Palermo-Empoli game I went to a few years ago. The jerseys, anyway.
If the Gold Cup had a consolation bracket, Bermuda might be one of the favorites to win it. Good showing from a team that had never played in a Gold Cup before this year.
