A draw between France & Romania would leave both of them at 7 points, one more than Italia. So both would advance to the semifinals, Romania as group winner and France with best second place finish.

Italy must wait to see if they finish as best runners-up; they can only do this if Romania beat France, or if France win by three goals or more.

Not looking very good. Romania did, to their credit, attempt to attack but didn't really challenge. France have done nothing. The closer it gets to the 90th, the less you'll see from these two sides. It's a real pity that we put ourselves in this position despite having the best side and being at home.

They're both playing for a tie, unfortunately there's nothing anyone can say or do.

Yep, italy are out, they are doing the ol 'denmark vs sweden euro 04' bit. ******** france btw 90% of that team isnt even french. Shame two teams would conspire like this to knock out the host nation. Di Biagio should be fired within 5 minutes after this game

Yea I mean, teams are always going to play for the result that gets them through to the next round. I'm not sure if screaming "conspiracy" is an accurate reflection of what's going on. If you are going to take issue with anything, then it should be with UEFA for organizing a tournament that promotes these kinds of situations. If I was Romania or France I would absolutely be playing for a 0-0 draw unapologetically.

Romania did play to win. France have been poor. I will be rooting for Romania the rest of the way. Spain and France do not deserve to win.

Tournament format is ridiculous, allows for way too much collusion,

Uefa obviously agrees which is why theyve changed it for the next edition.

To have a 24 team senior Euro, where shitty teams like Portugal can go through without winning a game in 3rd place lol, to this farce.

    Get your shit together UEFA

Italy smashed Spain who according to the England fan is 2 levels above them, France and Romania didn't show anything more. Didn't watch Germany, but they've been hyped beyond reality since 2014, only having quieted down a bit since Korea schooled them last summer and they had an immigration melt down in their locker room. They drew Austria yesterday, so Austria must be at least two levels above them.

So ignore the sock puppet England fan. A quick glance at his posting history shows a repeated pattern of NT and Roma forum trolls disparaging against team, doom gloom sky falling memes. Clearly a troll account, no different than their jealous bobble head broadcasters.

Not sure why it is not a 16-team tournament. Is UEFA worried about losing too many euros?

Wasn't there a time when it went to a head to head comparison before goal differential decided a tie breaker?Or was it head to head if GD was tied?
