Looking forward to the Paraguay/Qatar match because I know nothing about Qatar. I'd guess Arias, Cardona and Lerma (if Barrios really cant go) are the changes we see.

Hope we win and can rest players/keep players away from 2nd yellows in the final group game.

This may be the match we see Duvan and Falcao play together.

Or we can see a lineup like we did against Panama. Lerma doing the Barrios role (if he is injured) as a lone DFM with offensive talent making things happen in front of him.

It sucks for Muriel especially considering he really got very little playing time in Russia, was not even called up for the Centenario, Got little playing time in Chile '15 and was not even called up for Brasil 2014.

This was supposed to be his tournament to show what he could do. He will have to wait until Copa America Colombia next year but his role may be snatched away from by good young up and comers we have waiting on deck.

There is a silver lining to his injury since we are so deep though. Roger showed some brilliance yesterday. And I think Diaz can also show some of his skill and shooting ability if he gets a chance.
And then we have someone like Cardona who can be a wild card too assuming he is 100% healthy after his injury against Peru.

It is a luxury to have so many talented players to choose from.

All they do is get to the goal and dive

But Paraguay has nothing. Hope these teams knock out Argentina :)

This means it's time for Colombia save the reputation of South American football. Qatar could cause us problems. I'm sure Queiroz takes the match agaisnt Qatar seriously.

So watching the game or at least the highlights, Paraguay was dominating but apparently got too comfortable and Qatar kept on fighting. I am surprised with how Qatar didn't win the game with how much they were pushing after being down 2-0.

But it matters little as we're still far superior compared to these two teams.

So relieved, apparently Barrios MRI was clean and he is available for Qatar according to fcf.

Good to hear but I dont think we should risk him...playing it safe considering this good position that we are in.

Qatar had some nice plays in sync, a few bad decisions by their #19 and it could've been a win for them...

Alright, got to take it to them! If anyone is hurt or lingering, their minutes should be watched.

Hope we don't go in too overconfident.

While the entire team did a great job vs Argentina, I'd like to see Arias back in his spot. I recognize Medina played well but he wasn't really tested as ADM didn't really challenge that flank. I felt his dribbling skills are also limited and would like to see how Arias responds vs Qatar. I would have Cardona come in for Cuadrado and leave Barrios or Lerma to clean up behind. Would love to see Diaz get some minutes as well and sub in for Roger or vice versa.

    ARIAS--MINA---SANCHEZ-----TESILLO

    CARDONA --BARRIOS -- URIBE

    JAMES ---FALCAO ----ROGER

I watched most of the Qatar vs Paraguay. Qatar plays with a lot of speed down the middle. They didnt seem to attack much from the flanks. They are physical and complained to ref bloody murder after every play, so we'll see if they can keep their discipline throughout the 90. I think we need to go for 3 points here and try to win this group and avoid Brazil as long as possible. 1st place in B group plays 3rd from C group which will be between Japan and Chile imo. Ecuador would have a huge mountain to climb with a -4 GD, hence why I think they're cooked.

I feel that Medina should be there to play some more; his improvement should be rewarded and it can moviated Arias some more which would be great for both players.

Im not against Medina starting again. I say start all 4 of the same defenders to keep the chemistry going. We already know that some of the midfield /Attack is going to change for today’s game.

Hope I can make it to 9 pm without any spoilers!! LOL.

Hence why I am turning my phone and watch off at 5:30 today and walking through Manhattan with my head down. Don’t want to see anyone with a yellow/blue jersey this afternoon. Body language could give away the result. Love/hate technology today!!
