Why are u so worried? Focus on the game. Really weird to focus on a random poster. I just asked a quwstion
But that is all it really takes: “A football team is like a piano. You need eight men to carry it and three who can play the damn thing.” – Bill ShanklyOf course it really does not help that those carrying it keep dropping it on their own feet.
He's been lively and has put in a few good balls. Some of the better wing play I've seen from us in a longgg time.
I think we've been OK generally. A little bit better finishing, and it's 2-0 or 3-0. My big issue is that Guyana clearly did their homework and are collapsing on Bradley when the US is trying to bring the ball out the back. That leads to Bradley turning it over or passing it straight back to the CB. Then, Guyana is basically daring one of the CBs to make an effective line-breaking pass, and they generally can't do it. That was the exact strategy to use against us last cycle too. Why don't we have a counter move to this yet?
Let's not forget that Guyana ranked higher than Jamaica at the CONCACAF Nation league qualifiers. They aren't a superpower (their defending is atrocious) but are their resilient and capable up front. isn't a surprise. Emery Welshman cannot be allowed to have space with the ball.
Sends in decent crosses and is aggressive in his movement. But if he cannot hit the side of a barn from ten yards out, then there is a problem.
True if you were speaking Greek, but idioms change as they enter other languages. In English usage, the article tends to be used more often than not: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hoi polloi Then again I'm a descriptivist, which I realize a prescriptivist would understand to mean "doesn't actually believe in grammatical rules."
Nope. Refuse to watch any game since October 17 that Bradley plays in. Still interested in the team (good info on Boyd). Again, don't worry. Focus on urself. Real weird bro.
I'm assuming he doesn't think Altidore is 90 minutes fit and is resting him against the weakest opponent.
How is it possible that in 2004, the US did not really have an established soccer league and yet, there were players like Donovan, Claudio Reyna, Joe Max Moore, Brian McBride, Eddy Pope, Marcus Basley, etc.. and now the MLS is well established and we have worse players?
We need to have more clear cut chances. Only ones we've had are these melees in the box. Guyana should be in halftime right now thinking "Oh man we are lucky to be down 1-0". Instead they are thinking "We are in this, give us a break and we can tie this back up" I know we are still figuring ourselves out as a team, but we are playing at home against Guyana.
I'm assuming (praying) that he thought Zardes would be able to knock in a couple against Guyana, and that Altidore could be saved for better opponents. That...doesn't appear to be the case so far.
I’m also going to say that Pulisic had a disappointing half. For someone with his rep and price tag, you expect more than one run with the ball where he looks miles ahead of the competition.
Our problem is we are way too direct bringing up the ball. No timing passes, very few 1-touch passing. Boyd looks good, his game doesn't have trickery but he compensates with speed and hustle.
He heads it to Zardes' foot. It was actually a good choice since the keeper is always supposed to guard the near post and that was a narrow angle. That's how I saw it, maybe I'm wrong.
(Insert obligatory “Zardes is trash” post prior to him inexplicably finding his way on to the scoresheet)
