Etienne has totally turned this game for Haiti, but he's such a bad goalscorer. His attacking instincts inside the box don't exist.

Pierrot knocks in his 2nd goal of the game in the 66th minute. Haiti up 2-1.

The U.S. Open is tightening up as the leading groups come down the stretch. Woodland leads Biceps by 1 and Rose by 2 moving onto the 11th hole.

79' and I think we've averaged one player down every other minute for the last quarter hour. Kinda like when the coach teaches kids a new skill so for the next match you see everyone try that same skill over and over.

I know this match is in Costa Rica. I know this is part of the Gold Cup. I keep turning because I was thinking it was some pickup game. When I remember this is the Gold Cup, I try to remember where this stadium is in the US. I then remember this is in Costa Rica again. Rinse and repeat.

Is this one of those venues that China built?

I hope the creator of the vuvuzela spends eternity listening to that droning sound while being beaten with flaming vuvuzelas.

What happened to Haiti's 3rd goal in the 87th?

The stadium doesn't look bad in San Jose, but the seats don't look very comfortable. Fair result for Haiti. Good showing by Bermuda in its Gold Cup debut.

    Bermuda is awesome.

It is my favorite place in the world. They can do what they want.

Yes, yes...I know about the Azzuri. Australia always wears green and gold, as does South Africa (although they do have yellow and green on their national flag). New Zealand too goes 'off the grid', so to speak, by wearing white for soccer and black for rugby. England often wears dark blue shorts with its white tops. These are teams that are fairly familiar to audiences here and are somewhat recognizable. Bermuda is seldom seen by American audiences, save for the occasional World Cup Qualifier against USA. It just surprised me. I was expecting them to be wearing red.

This is kind of like how my trip to Madeira convinced me that Ronaldo was better than Messi.

Whelp... so much for this unless it's a really late arriving crowd.

Though looks like a sizable Nicaraugan turnout tonight. Lots of blue in the crowd.

Kinda digging the Costa Rican kit. Deep blues and gold can make some good looks.

Sometimes I wonder if the co-announcers with the play-by-play guy in this game (Francisco?) ask themselves: "what the hell are you talking about?"
