He just found a rival on his level, last friendly when he started he looked beyond shit, let's see how he does (if he even plays) against Costa Rica/Panama/Honduras/the US

antuna is not even a Pablo Barrera(at his best) level player but unfortunately a lot of people go with that he scored 3 so that makes him good:sick:...ive read people calling him the future of Mexico already:speechless::speechless::ROFLMAO: when he is not even a top 6 option on the wings

Antuna had a good game and has been a good player at LA Galaxy and guys like Ibrahimovic rate him highly.

Raul has the ability to finish this tournament as the Golden Ball winner

Despite it being Cuba it was a good game but the boys more ruthlessness and it could of ended 12-0.

We are enjoying it, but it’s true some people, mostly MLS peeps, are hyping Antuna too much.

I'm the MLS fanboy here and y'all don't see me hyping. I'm happy for him though.

I believe Antuna is, and most likely will be, a decent depth piece.

the thing is that the kid isn't better than Brizuela or Lainez and not even close to Tecatito, Pizarro or Chucky, what rubs me the wrong way is the way he got here by a "recommendation" from an ex directivo who has a big interest on the kid becoming a national team player for per$onal rea$on$, I hoped that with Tata that bullshit was going to stop or at least slow down but it doesn't look that way. As long as we keep winning we can overlook it but what happens when the honeymoon is over?

The distances between Australia and the Middle East are comparable. The problem has never been a question of travel distances, but of political and monetary power imbalances between CONCACAF and CONMEBOL.

This, the distance from Canada to the Southern Cone is around the same there is from the Middle East to Australia, you could easily study how the AFC deal with the travel distances and look for a solution if you really wanted to.
The real reason the fusion won't happen is because the US and Canada (SUM) want to be the ones in control and CONMEBOL won't buy that shit.

Well, we'll see if it continues after the gold cup since, from the ones you mentioned, only Brizuela and Lainez were healthy/not involved with drama yesterday and you could, in theory go with Lainez having little playtime with Betis / going to the U20 WC / wanting to do a full pre-season with Betis' new coach while Brizuela theoretically has already peaked (and not being on the level of any of the guys you mentioned either) as reasons for giving Antuna a look (plus, he has been having a good season with LA Galaxy). That and everyone Tata calling up to the preliminary list getting hurt nearly at the same time.

If he keeps getting called to big games after everyone else is healthy, then I'll get suspicious as well.

AFC nations were ok with it particularly because of the marketing potential. Doesn’t mean CONMEBOL would be. Ever since Mexico started playing there at the club level, CONMEBOL sides bring up the distances as the reason they would hate Mexico being there officially.

The distances are insane, it’s a fair point. This isn’t even taking into account the best players will also be flying from Europe and back.

Decent game against powerhouse Cuba..........the honeymoon still continues. Remember its Mexico's obligation to win the cup, and win or lose, that does'nt make us better or good.............were just merely a decent team that always goes to the World Cup, because we have it pretty easy like that folks.

Elite teams dont have excuses, and that is why im telling you that Germany straight out sucked and Mexico took it to them like they did. Mexico gave the fans hope and illusion that maybe....................and just maybe this World Cup would be different. Only to have that dream get crushed again in the round of 16.......by an elite team like Brazil, and there's no excuse there.
