Watching this is somehow making me angrier about what I've seen from Berhalter's team.
I can't decide how angry I should be with this. They're definitely getting out of the group and I can see them making the final. ********. ********. ********.

You're saying the final will be Mexico v Canada then. Yeah, I wouldn't be shocked if that were the case.

I fell bad for Cuba because they’re probably going to get thrashed like Thailand did.

After an iffy start, good start for Canada. Jonathan David might be most clinical finisher Canada has produced in a long time. And Milan Borjan is so underrated as a GK

This was about as sharp as I've seen Canada play in like, forever. It's hard to tell how good Martinique is, since they aren't a FIFA member and therefore, not ranked. I would suspect they are on par with the likes of Cuba and Guyana, maybe even better than those two. I tend to agree with sitruc and Sounders78. USA is going to have to improve by leaps and bounds over its last two outings or this will certainly be a Gold Cup to forget for the stars and stripes.

At least they’re playing MEX in the first game. Everyone defects after and the other group teams get super-walkovers.

That backpass to the keeper 20 yards outside of the box had some heat on it.

With the usual caveat about the FIFA rankings, I was going to say Cuba were ranked well ahead of Guyana's FIFA ranking of 177. But then I noticed Cuba is all the way down to 175. They were as high as 46 in 2006, and 91 in 2015. So I guess "the likes of Cuba and Guyana" is something that makes sense. Cuba has been losing, a lot.

That said, Guyana just lost to Bermuda, so I would say Martinique have enough France-based pros to be better than that (even without Florent Malouda).

    FOX isn't muting it.

Cuba basically bunkering and trying to keep everything out of the box.. No pressure at midfield. Mexico's defenders are in the offensive half and the goalkeeper is not far behind.

It doesn't feel right for this tournament to have new rules and no VAR.

Are the FOX cameras avoiding the celly, or are they just really acting like they’ve been there before?

I'll bet you 100 dollars the final won't be Mexico vs Canada.
