Must have been. I have three friends (two brothers + the wife of one of them) who have season tickets in 106, I believe 2 are in row 13 and the single brother is in 14. I believe we were all sitting together in row 13 for this match.

My upper deck tickets got moved to south stands for the match. So instead of that, I spent the first half watching from my regular spot from above the stage and decided to hang out with them for the 2nd half. Nice seats, those.

Mensah will almost certainly be gone for the quarterfinal round too, and I wouldn't be surprised if our US guys weren't fully back with the Crew by then either.

But yeah, 5th round is coming up next week already. We're looking at the exact same players we saw last night. Josh Williams and Waylon Francis will likely still be out.

Just wanted to add that it was glorious at the stadium last night. Stunning weather, beautiful sky/sunset. That pitch, man... so pristine. I loved walking around all evening just watching the game from various vantage points.

Pittsburgh didn't seem interested in trying to attack even after they went down a goal. Which I found rather... odd in a knockout match. Our attack was so tiny: Pedro at 5'6", Mullins at 5'8", Robinho is listed at 5'5" (!!). Guzman's not much of an offensive threat, but was pretty involved; he towers over the rest at a whopping 5'9". It's one reason why I thought/hoped JJ might start (he's 6'1"). Zardes would have been a game changer in a match like this.

What's up with Niko Hansen? I would have expected him to get some minutes in this game. He seems to have fallen way down the depth chart. It was good to see Afful on the pitch again.

I was expecting to see him sub in since his mom made the trip from out west for that game.

But *why* did they do it??? The regular lots were just fine and weren't that worn. Only thing I can think of is that the Quarter Horses don't like pavement.

There were race track lines painted and obvious tire marks. I'm guessing some sort of SCCA or other amature racing event over the weekend. My cursory Google search didn't turn anything up, but if y'all ask me nicely I'll call the FO tomorrow and inquire.

Or they had budget money on the books they had to spend, so the spent it so it's not cut from next year's budget.

I can't tell you how amusing and simultaneously frustrating it is to be told 'no' all year long to spend reasonable money on a worthwhile initiative, only to watch the end of year spend-every-unspent-dime-on-pointless-crap-so-next-years-budget-isnt-reduced. Maddening.

I wish to announce that I now have the fever. Yes, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup fever.

After the gutty, often awful but effective win for our team last night and some MLS vs USL-C action tonight, I have the fever.

Can someone please help me out and explain what the hell this is all about. I'm not a numbers or statistics guy, but it looks interesting. However, I have no idea what's going on.

I don't think it's THAT bad. I wouldn't buy one but if someone gave it to me I'd wear it. It's sort of a 5.*

(A friend once described a 5 as a girl you've taken out for dinner, you look up, and three of your best friends walk into the restaurant. You don't dive under the table but you don't leap up shouting and waving to get their attention, either. A 5)

    Yep, that's a pretty solid description of a 5. Especially if, like me, you're a 4.

There is no such thing as out of your league. Going after an ugly chick or a beautiful chick is all pretty much pot luck. So your might as well go after attractive ones and leave the mediocre chicks to the schmucks. If anything really attractive women are use to intimidating other men and are not use to people being confident and direct with them. Proof below. Enough of you have met me in real life to know this is really me.
Oh and this is after 3 kids thank you very much.

Chipseal is sometimes used as a maintenance measure on otherwise sound asphalt. Not that different from using tar sealant on your driveway. If you wait until the surface is cracked and or degraded, it doesnt accomplish much other than cosmetics.
