Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona, here we go! Gil Marin, Atlético Madrid CEO, has just confirmed the deal: “We know since last March that Griezmann is going to Barcelona”, he told to Sport. The agreement is reached as… https://t.co/qY7trv3XUZ— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 12, 2019
Well Erdogan has shown to be even more sensitive than the orange (crazy I know) and will not to hesitate to go after another mans family members. Case in point Enes Kanters father so I guess he probably invited him to stay on his good side but that’s just me though.
So the likes of Chicharito, Tecatito, Herrera, Vela, Navas, and now Tyler Adams as well have decided to pass on the Gold Cup. Meanwhile, Montserrat's players are still complaining about not getting the chance... Match fixing 🧐— WOODZY 💨 (@Woodzy_Goodz) June 13, 2019
No, seriously Defend what luck they didn’t show the second goal anywhere else in the world it’s match fixing simple— WOODZY 💨 (@Woodzy_Goodz) June 13, 2019

They're taking the piss now... Ligue 1 have agreed a two year sponsorship deal to be called 'Ligue 1 Uber Eats' starting in 2020/21.It's now been announced that the match ball for each game will be brought to the pitch by an 'Uber Eats delivery man' https://t.co/S21RqWUj0H— SPORTbible (@sportbible) June 13, 2019
Yeah but all of this came because of CONMEBOL not going with the US tournament this summer and hosting them so it's all recent. He's the guy behind the nations league and the one who in the CCL final in Monterrey went on about how the future for Mexico was in CONCACAF when asked about Libertadores and Copa America. They want to force Mexico to play in CONCACAF to raise the level of their shit teams. That motherfvcker is going to act like a possessive husband with Mexico and people are too busy being butthurt about Herrera not coming to pay attention to it (that and Univision telling Televisa to not force the issue since they don't have the rights to Copa America anymore).
No this all dates back to Copa America in 2016. Their is a reason why Conmebol told the USSF to go ******** themselves with their offer.
Well isn't that for all the arrest the FBI did? I do think it goes back to the 2016 and turning CONCACAF away for 2020, but that probably meant that CONCACAF didn't get any piece of the pie, no money or spot for their non Mexico teams and that's why they are at war.
No FMF? It’s easy to blame SUM, CONCACAF, etc but de Luisa, Bonilla and co have been shitting the bed a lot recently.
It's ********ing disgusting. The Mexican team is getting pimped to benefit a bunch of tax haven islands with populations of 5,000 people. Mexican suits allow this because business is still good. The idiots who pack stadiums, and pay top dollar to watch the seleccion play some island in a super shitty, patched-up field are to blame.
It looks like they given up because of the fact they know they can't move to CONMEBOL. That and their business interest.but also the fact that people here can't pay attention to the big picture. This news is getting buried but I know for a fact that in 2020, when the EURO and Copa America start, suddenly everybody is going to be be all about this but right now people are too busy paying attention to the Gold Cup and the friendlies we just won.
Did they run then 2016 Copa? It all goes back to that. Conmebol was still negotiating with Concacaf but they wanted nothing to do with the Nad fed.
Damn, y'all went off! Throwing my $0.02 in... Loretta Lynch? I agree with @sidspaceman that he isn't primarily to blame...but what's also clear is that he has absolutely no interest in reconciling with Conmebol either. No, we know that the issue was already there b/c that stupid offer was the USSF's way of trying to Leroy Jenkins another Centenario into existence, after talks between the confederations broke down. That, and the assertion that Conmebol is still owed money from the Copa América Centenario, ostensibly held up by the FIFAGate investigations. Hence Cordeiro's offer falling on deaf ears: what good is a promise of US$200 million if you have no guarantee of seeing any of it? Not to mention that the offer straight-up disrespected the Copa América itself. From the bits and snippets we've seen in the news, it appears the core issues were more logistical than monetary: Conmebol were already displeased with several aspects of the Centenario (e.g. the schedule forcing some teams to fly cross-country in the group stage, pitch conditions), and bristled at Concacaf wanting the Copa América to rotate b/w north and south - to say nothing of Concacaf possibly demanding 50/50 organizational control of a tournament that doesn't belong to them. There's a core question that some journalist is going to have to dig into soon. If there were any executive who would've wanted to kill Concacaf-Conmebol collaboration, it was Chuck Blazer...and yet at no point after he fell out with Nicolás Leoz were relations as bad as they are today. Why? And what you're bringing up is an unspoken part 2 to this question: Why is it that Concacaf fell out with Conmebol? And why is the FMF not doing anything about it? Let's remember that dropping out of the Copa Libertadores was the FMF's own call: Concacaf had switched to a one-semester CCL in tandem with the Libertadores going full-year, precisely so that Mexican teams in the Libertadores who happened to qualify for CCL in the Clausura wouldn't have to fight on three fronts or choose between tournaments in the fall. Rather, Bonilla took it upon himself to decide that the apparent fixture congestion was too much. That, and...have we ever considered that the FMF heads don't want to go to Conmebol? Think about it: we all know now that FIFA Council positions are among the cushiest in sports. Does anyone think that if the FMF were to join Conmebol, Domínguez and co. would suddenly be willing to share Conmebol executive positions and FIFA Council seats with the new guys?
