I already mentioned watching AAU track on FloSports in another thread... I wish high school was the lowest level I regularly go out to for several sports.
I am a big DIII college hockey fan. I go to Upstate NY, Philly and Hershey to see games along with games up in Reisterstown. Ticket are from $5 down to nothing.
I dont believe DU have a pre-game bar - that's what their tailgate is for. The barra might not be pre-gaming any longer at Finn McCool's after the latest debacle with (lack of) Flo-sports but they do continue to list the bullpen (and Finns) on their website.
Y'know, a really neat Fathers Day event would be to have guided tours of Audi Field leaving every hour on the hour this Sunday, followed by an eat and drink at the Eagle Bank club. $19.96 would cover Dad and all his entourage. Why can't the FO think of this? I suggested this to Mrs. Adler, who looked at me like I had three heads (happens all the time). Then again, she's from Buffalo and she once told me that the Bills don't do stadium tours. WTF? SMH. I'm a Green Bay Packers Shareholder. The guided tours of Lambeau Field are legendary, with long waiting lines.
We stood up on the top row of 128 for last night's game. Neat view from up there, my wife was more interested in watching planes land at National than she was of the players jogging around the pitch But the first seat on the row between 129/128 was soaked, rain was running down the big steel beam next to it and pouring onto the seat. I got some rain blowing in thru the fence now and then as should be expected, but not bad at all, not enough to make something wet - If I had that aisle seat though (and I always buy an aisle seat) I would be pissed.
We sit in Section 129, row 14. Total dumb luck on our part when selecting seats, but we never get rained on or get sun in our eyes. The West stands at AF are just great.
There was still some trash from the last game in some areas. The north water fountains were out of service. I thought the number of mosquitoes in the west water fountains was disturbing until I went in a bathroom and saw the horror show in the sinks. Spiders webs are quick to take over the top rows of the stands. A lot of things are disturbing about the "fan cams" panning over the venue.
I thought the bugs and non-functioning water fountains and sinks were the continued efforts of the FO to recreate "the RFK experience" so fondly missed by some folks around here.
seriously, I thought he was talking about attending a game at old united park instead eaglebank arena east
If you have some really good dancers, that would be a great way to pick up some extra cash before and after the game. That could even finance your tailgates!
So my STM account is set for monthly payment by credit card. I bought a ticket for last night (don't start) through the app. How come I had to enter my name, address and cc info? Also, if the venue is digital tickets only, and I am buying on the app - why is it asking me what delivery method I want to use?!?!? ah, well.....
