Mancini thumbs up so far. Was hoping that Quags could have scored a goal. He deserves to be there and deserved a goal.
We can't win every match 3-0 or 6-0. A great team has to win these grind em out games as well. This victory is just as impressive/important as the first three in qualifying. This is a squad that didn't keep their heads down and were able to snatch three points. Future is bright IMO.
Insigne should have had another at the end...could have put it far corner, but he put in a solid performance. If he could bat . 500 though, he'd be scoring at least 1 a game.
Excellent second half from our boys. First half was garbage with the midfield not able to handle the pressing. Bosnia got tired and eventually were exposed. I've had my issues with Insigne over the years about showing up small in big games. Well, this is a nice step forward. Verratti was really frustrating me as well since he has so much talent, but he really came on there at the end. He really should focus more on those through balls and on making runs into the box. That type of play makes him one of the best midfielders in the world. He just has to show it more since he is capable of it.

Make no mistake. That Bosnian team has a lot of talent. They also showed up and came to play today. The visiting crowd was LOUD. I'm really proud of how our boys answered the call. There is a boat load of talent on the U21s...so the core of our future team is really starting to be formed now.

Ventura's Italy would have had Verratti and a player like a Parolo as the only two midfielders and they would have got demolished LOL
Great finish by Verratti, but wow the Bosnian's must have been thinking Verratti never shoots because they didn't close him down at all. Insigne with a beauty and an assist, two of his better games for the Azzurri. Armenia just beat Greece 3-2 as well. Would take something special to not qualify now.
Nice to see Belotti come on with that fire. I really thought he deserved the start today against that packed in Bosnian D. I thought that was a tactical miss from Mancini. Finally, a special thanks to Nicolo Barella. That kid is a stud. Every time he wears the Azzurro, he plays like his life depends on it. Ci tiene e si vede. The Juventus midfield could do worse than have a player like that. Every CL in the knockout stage we have some real garbage midfield play. Barella would be a nice addition, but our dirigenti of course are going to ignore him and buy some flavor of the month.
This is the best Azzurri since 2012. It has the potential to be the best since 2006. We’re back to being a top 8 European squad. Hopefully we look more like top 5 this time next year.
