Get some good fullback production and a #9 who can put the ball in the net and Italia can do something at Euro 2020 and the next few cycles. There is so much more talent here than at Euro 16.

What about goalkeepers? Sirigu is the only one I've heard of in that list, and he is not that good. Where is Perin and Donnarumma?

If you actually watched the league this year you would know that Cragno and Sirigu were fantastic. Perin was mediocre when he played and Donnarumma is injured

Well yeah, Perin definitely did have some horrific performances. I didn't watch Sirigu or Cragno much. Yeah I found out later that Donnarumma is injured.

Kean likely to start for Italy?

Juventus teenager Moise Kean could be a surprise starter for Italy in the Euro 2020 qualifier with Greece after specific work in training.

The clash kicks off in Athens on Saturday evening, before hosting Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 11.

Andrea Belotti, Ciro Immobile and Leonardo Pavoletti were all used in a friendly test against the Bologna youth team yesterday.

Rai Sport suggest that today Coach Roberto Mancini spent a long time working with Kean in training and the 19-year-old is a potential starter in Greece.

Kean has a remarkable record playing for Italy, scoring two goals in just three senior caps.

He found the net seven times in 17 competitive games for Juventus this season, most of them brief substitute appearances.

Meanwhile, Federico Bernardeschi remains in the balance between a role in the trident attack or in a deeper midfield position.

Federico Chiesa is widely expected to start, but there are doubts over Lorenzo Insigne’s status in the pecking order.

    Kean should start vs Greece!

Based on the comments UEFA made to the media this week about the WC 2022 qualifiers, it is going to be really important that we win as many games - and therefore ranking points - as possible. The good news is the draw for the qualifiers has been postponed from July 2019 to December 2020, so there is more time to climb into the top 10 of the ranking, assuming UEFA will use 10 groups instead of the 9 it used for 2018.

yeah getting into Pot 1 would be a huge thing. We don't want to run into a situation where we get drawn with say a Spain again in the same group.

Perin had surgery on his shoulder the last month, so he is not available.

Do not allow the media hype over Kean influence you too much. The kid has raw talent but he also has a lot to learn about the game. His last few outings with Juve were nothing to write home about.

I doubt Kean starts against Greece. And like you mention, I don't think he's ready. I still believe (if all are healthy) that Mancini starts Berna, Chiesa, and Insigne in a front three (with an interchangeable false nine).

Leaving a very defensive Greece without a reference point on offense is the best bet IMO. I think its more likely we see a true CF start against Bosnia instead of Greece (probably Quags).

    Probable line-ups

Italy: Sirigu; Florenzi, Bonucci, Chiellini, Emerson; Verratti, Jorginho, Barella; Chiesa, Quagliarella, Bernardeschi

That midfield looks sub-par. Hopefully Quags plays the game if his life.

I'm hearing Belotti to get the start. He played very well down the stretch and I think he deserves the chance. Chiesa and Berna I like on the wings. I hate Jorginho in the middle but Verratti and Barella will have to work their tails off to support his slow pace and 3 foot passes.

Too bad Spinazzola got injured. He was playing really well down the stretch too.

I don't care how pretty this is...but we need 3 points.
