Only die hard idiot Benfica fans think Almeida and Pizza are world class, Félix natural scoring ability is something else, and I add Rafa hás learned a lot by scoring alot, and look at my history, I am no Benfica cego clubista. Should Félix start against Holland, prefer Rafa.

England, USA 0.5 su"k my American Di"k are out of the finals. Rather beat England in the final (Upper Bound, Best case scenario) but if we lose, rather against the Dutch (Lower Bound, Worst case scenario). Either way if Portugal win, no Problem.

Get Your Crack Pipes Out, this could be EPIC!

Spanish? You mean Latin Americans? Like the Portuguese don’t hate getting generalized as “Spanish” among with South Americans and Caribbeans.

It's not the Benfica fans, it's everyone else. They just can't stand that Benfica have the academic supremacy for the future and also win the league on the regular. It makes diehard fans from the other clubs emotionally unstable (especially Sporting). Even if Benfica was not in the tremendous state that it is in today, i would never take shots at Portuguese prospects from other clubs and base my hate for them because of the club that developed them. This is clearly the pathos of people like @SCP_16 and other fans on here.

These young players are the future of the Portuguese national team and we have to support them, to be calling them busts at 19 is asinine and shows your only true loyalty is to your club and not to the flag.

Yes can we please get this thread back on track.

So who do you guys think starts tomorrow. I think we should go with the same lineup, albeit Fonte for Pepe. That lineup is too good "potentially", we have to give it time and be patient cause if Neves Carvalho, Bruno Bernardo, Ronaldo Felix works......omg we will be a top 3 contender for the euros and beyond.

I'm expecting the same lineup, but Portugal has to be better tomorrow. Unlike seemingly everyone else in the world, I didn't think Joao Felix was terrible vs. Switzerland and his runs without the ball are exactly the kind of thing Portugal's attack needs.

These young guys have their highs and lows, plus it was cap one for JF. de Ligt is 19 too and everyone acts like he's perfect, but look at his dreadful giveaway the other night.

No matter who starts, I'm going to be annoyed if we don't see Diogo Jota at some point.

What a garbage thread this is..

so disapointed to have to read garbage comments that have nothing to do with this tournament. Put your club loyalty aside.. no one gives a shit what club you support.. this is about the NT.

Smarten up people.. this forum is generally great to read and converse in.. what happened?

In regards to the line up..

i gotta imagine Santos will stick to the same team he did v Swiss. Except the obvious replacement of Fonte for Pepe due to injury.

The more i think of it.. i could also see Joao Felix being on the bench for this game.. not sure how i would feel about it.. but it wouldnt surprise me. He was given a chance.. the moment looked a bit to big for him at this point in his career and it may be wise to let him watch a finals from the bench and get a grasp of how it feels.. i may be talking complete B.S and he may start and score 3 goals.. who knows?

I feel confident in Portugal achieving this result. As said, regardless of what others may think.. i truly do believe 2004 still haunts the Portuguese.. and more so the one man on the pitch tomorrow who lives that experience first hand.. Ronaldo.. i gotta imagine he will have something to say about it.

Just block him, im a die hard sporting fan and I think the man is an absolute tool. My time on this forum has become significantly better since blocking Z 2.0

It doesn’t matter who a player plays for, when they’re in Portuguese colours all club bias should be put to one side

Back to the game, would be really great for us to win this. It would mean 3 trophies in 3 within 3 years, and although many of us don’t always agree with FS selections and tactics, it’s proved successful for us and would instill a real winning mentality going into the euros to defend our title next year

I don't expect more than one lineup change,if any. Santos never changes lineups midtournament. His subs are usually an offensive sub first, then a defensive. Pepe only got subbed out for injury.

Z was actually funny and kept the forum active though. Nbstriker essentially killed the bigsoccer Portuguese forum by campaigning for his ban.

I wouldnt play Felix tomorrow. Netherlands have beast cbs who i think will easily out muscle him. Dont think hes ready for such a high level match yet. You never know though he could surprise us.

I have a feeling Guedes will start as Santos will love him after his sub appearance and has in the past shown plenty of love for him. I dont mind Guedes starting if its as a winger, but as a striker he is terrible and we have seen it fail enough times.

Blah blah no one gives a shit about your worthless opinion. You contribute nothing to this entire forum. So if you're going to get sand in your vagina for an opposing view, then maybe a discussion forum isn't your thing, you sensitive pussy.

People gave an opposing view of why they think Felix isn't worthy of a call up, which included his poor play, and the belief that his call-up stems from his affiliation with Benfica, whose socios make up nearly the entire country and influence all aspects of sports journalism in Portugal.

Sensitive Benfica fans (who don't even post in their own subforum in support of their team btw) got their feelings hurt that anyone would think Felix is anything other than the Lord Jesus Christ, and decided to personally insult people rather than use logic.

Business as usual here. I have to defend myself
