#Dzeko #Inter è accordo da tempo con lui solo da formalizzare con la #Roma quando la Roma annuncerà #Fonseca (presto)— Alfredo Pedullà (@AlfredoPedulla) June 7, 2019
That list is so scary to look at. No wonder Zaniolo is demanding what he is. Look at all the players at the top of that list, that are worse than him, but gets payed stupid wages.
All joking aside if we could somehow find a miracle and unload Pastore. Then sell Nzonzi and Perotti we'd free up a ton of cash with our top 5 wage earners gone from last year. Problem is Pastore resale value has to be zero.
lol, yeah. Of the top 10 earners, you could make an argument that Manolas was the only one who really justified his wages.
Nice. Yeah, Pinamonti was a guy I wanted Monchi to go for during the Radja negotiations, but I had no idea who Zaniolo was at that time.
eh.. I know people here don't like Fazio but after Ranieri took over I thought he was actually better than Manolas. But yea, for a large chunk of the year he was pretty bad
Is Pinamonti the type of ST/CF that will fit into Fonseca system? From watching the U20s he looks to be more of the classic #9.
It's a good question. I kinda just think of these guys as someone we'll loan out for a couple of seasons and make some dough worst-case scenario. The chances we get another Zaniolo are so remote. Pinamonti's got some upside though, so who knows.
Waaaay off topic but I want Roma to get to the point where we aren't selling off players because we have to. How much money have we spent in the market the last decade since Pallotta took over? Imagine if we didn't sell a lot of those youngsters and only spent 1/2 that total and then 75% of the remaining on wages? As it is we have to spend 100 million every year plugging holes and to do that we have to sell our best young players. Instead I'd rather spend 50 mil a year on 1 or 2 players, increase our total wages allowing us to keep our best players and then accumulate young talent for the future. We can then sell 1 or 2 of those young talents every other year or so.
Fazio was one of the best centerbacks in the league under a certain Manager from Certaldo. Also, this certain manager was the only one to turn Dzeko into a serviceable option. If only we could have him as manager.
I'd like that too, but I'm not sure how it's possible. Dunno. Mistakes have certainly been made along the way, but I'm not sure how we can really fund our 1st team without moving on kids eventually. Right now, the problem is who we're paying to be on that "1st" team. Maybe Salmeen can give you a better answer. I don't really have much, tbh.
I'd be very surprised to see Benfica let him go. He's just broken through to the first team shortly after Bruno Lage (who coached him with Benfica B) took over. Benfica is likely to have a windfall of money from any Joao Felix sale this summer and really has no reason to sell him unless a huge offer comes in. That said, he was very good for Benfica when he played, he even got some Europa League experience under his belt, and he'd be a helluva good signing. I guess what I'm saying, is I'd be much happier with bringing Florentino in than going through a Radja redux.
#Juventus prepare strategy to lure Zaniolo, #Higuain could be offered in swap deal https://t.co/Obf4aPaxh5 pic.twitter.com/OZtCqiXMza— CalcioMercato (En) (@CmdotCom_En) June 7, 2019 lol, this is somehow worse than the Radja rumor
Radja isn't coming back. Zero chance. He is pretty much washed up at this point. No way we pay a transfer fee plus wages for him .Unless Inter let him go for free.
