Rui Costa.....my favorite player of all time. I have had the privilege to watch his magic live on 4 occasions. I remember every single game as if it was yesterday. Obrigado Rui.

I seen Rui's magic Live 4 times myself and as someone who doesn't care much for Benfica but Huge on the NT I can say it's sad to see him go as he was one of my all time favorites.

Thank you for that Goal vs England Rui, I never freaked out in pure joy so much for anything then that for that moment in Luz. I don't know if I will ever have that type of feeling ever again and I think it will be the best sports memory I will ever have (but I hope not)

I will forget the missed PK that was right in front of me though :p

Best of Luck to Rui in his new role.

Thanks for all the memories Rui. He truly is a fantastic player, leader, and role model. You will be missed on the field. but look at it this way guys, hes basically in charge of Benfica. :D He has the control and power of the club. He manages who comes and goes and this will dramatically help Benfica.

Rui Costa was a great player, and most importantly a classy individual. Players like Rui Costa are very rare finds. Best of luck to Rui in his new role, I know he will succeed.

came cross a old box full of old magazines and in it found and old copy of world soccer and in it there was a interview with Gabriel Batistuta and he said 95% of his goals he scored in Florentina came from The feet of the Maestro Rui Costa shows you the Vision Rui Costa had, he was one of the best Midfielders in world football
