Definitely not in jerseys. Might find some outerwear or training gear worn by coaches/staff in those sizes though. It's the actual team issued gear so there's only the sizes the team issued and when it comes to soccer players that means mostly small/medium with a few larges.

I always thought they used it as a clearance sale for the Crew shop?

His stature is the only reason I miss Chad Marshall - we wear the same sizes.

Mensah and Sauro are large gentlemen too. Aren't they about the same size as Chad?

I don't think Mensah is as tall, which is the key for me. Chad is 6'4", I'm 6'6".

Yea plus both Mensah (6'2" 183 lbs) and Sauro (6'2" 182 lbs, twin towers indeed!) are pretty svelte and the current jersey cut/style is tighter/more athletic. During the auctions for special jerseys (like they will be doing for the Pride Night warmups) you can see the size each player wears. If I remember correctly, they are both Ls.

Crognale is our largest player at 6'5" 205lb. Bendik is the heaviest at 217 on a 6'2" frame. Even Guzman who looks like a tank out there is only 5'9" 172 lbs which is probably just a medium for an athletic fit (those are almost my identical stats but let's just say I'm not in professional athlete shape and I go between a medium and large depending on the shirt).

Long story short, look for #1,4, 21, or 22 on gear if you want larger stuff (it's somewhat sorted by size but that gets messed up quickly with people rooting through it). There probably won't be a whole lot of Bendik gear (#1) since he's a GK and he's only been with the team since this offseason though. I'm guessing a majority of this stuff is the leftovers from the end of last season with some preseason/early season stuff from this year mixed in. Plus a lot of Meram stuff.

I'm an oddball in that I don't buy items that have player names, and try to avoid warm-up items with numbers.

Yeah, you don't want to be wearing the jersey of someone who commits a blunder.

Do you feel differently about gifts or should I find a different home for this predominantly white Barbasol-era Marshall jersey I bought you?

It's not so much that (to err is human) as it is that players come and go and I support the badge.

I might would absolutely make an exception for that, simply for the comedic value. I'll be in the lot around 3 today, you know where to find me.

The email with the link to claim the free Open Cup tickets was sent out this morning. Need to click the link and fill out a quick survey with your name and email to get tickets sent to your account manager. You'll get the same amount of Open Cup tickets as season tickets that you have.

You have to claim your tickets by Thursday 7/6 at 5pm.

FYI, that email went to the Promotions folder in my gmail Inbox. Thanks for the heads up!

You can create a filter for anything sent from "@ColumbusCrewSC.com" to always go to your inbox rather than the various folders or spam. If you want to.

Yes. I should. That would seem to be a good idea.

Holy crap. I just created a gmail filter. After all these years.

I am going to admit I will not likely be doing it again. But again, thank you. Great suggestion.

For UA work emails, I purposefully do my own filtering because it is all apart of my system of tackling, organizing, prioritizing, and responding to emails.

Oh god yes. I have one system for personal emails and one for work, and I admit that I have far fewer filters for personal emails (and the one I have are mainly family-related).

Does anyone else have trouble with the MLS app? I have to re-download it every time I need to use it. It worked fine for the first few months of the season but it won’t even load like it’s stuck trying to sign me in. It sucks when trying to access my account manager. My phone is an iPhone XR that is only about 6 months old.

Yes indeed. In fact, on Saturday, the account manager announced that I had no tickets for any games. Ever.

(This after having to reload the app a few weeks earlier because it wouldn't do a thing)

I got a hold of my team rep who printed up tix for me and left them at Will Call so I could get in.

When I was there I went to Member Services and they all passed around my phone, and told me that it would be fixed this week.

My guy called yesterday (they're very good with this stuff) and said that he looked into it and MLS has just issued an update which worked great but screwed up pre-update apps. (This is per my limited understanding of what he was saying)

Anyway, mine apparently had not updated yet but then it did yesterday afternoon and everything seems OK again.

Maybe I should delete it and re-download it again.

The MLS app is a pile of shit, plain and simple. The league probably spends as much time (and therefor money) coming up with excuses and fixes for their shitty app as they would just paying a decent vendor to develop a better mobile experience - app or otherwise.

MLS app is much better on iOS than Android. By miles.

This. I think the ease of use is great. Better than getting into my ticketbastard account every week.

It usually works on my Iphone. But I've had trouble occasionally. At one game, the QR square on the phone was empty.
