Ok I searched the international forum, and did not find 'Indian elections" So in honor of the largest democracy in the world, I created this thread.
So in 2014 the Indian Donald Trump (but from a poor background) carried his Religious nationalistic Party to great victory. Now he wants to make sure he can govern for 5 more years (or so). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Indian_general_election The biggest opposition is the much diminished oldest most corrupt party in India (well when they were in power) the INC.. Now with a new prince at the help, this family dynasty political vehicle is trying to see if they can come back from the dead to clobber together a coalition that would keep the BJP out of power (by bribing smaller parties most likely). https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/elections
Election workers in India traveled 300 miles over 4 days to set up a polling booth — for one voter Election rules in India says that no one should have to travel more than 1.24 miles to vote. In AmeriKKKa we try to keep as many as we can from voting. https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...44088d135f2_story.html?utm_term=.ee9057f9a0c6
The lower house elections in India are a over a month long marathon, where different states vote at different times, this time from April 11th, 2019 to May 19, 2019. The BJP head of the NDA alliance vs. the Indian National congress, that should not be confused with the Nationalist Congress party or the newer All India Trinamool congress party some of them may or may not form part of the UPA alliance. If you are not confused yet, watch some Youtube videos and you will be lost in 5 minutes.
Running on identity politics, the BJP could teach a thing or two to the Republicans. https://www.economist.com/asia/2019...election-pitch-centres-on-hounding-minorities
So the Indian Donald Trump wins big time. More proof than bigotry and fear are powerful weapons to win votes. https://www.cnn.com/asia/live-news/indian-election-latest-may-23-intl/index.html
