  3. Could be because of the period champions earning a spot and a Youth team ending up the table

    1. Lansing United doesn't exist anymore. They are effectively Ignite when the USL-1 team brought in the United owner as a minority owner.
    2. Do you really think that United didn't have to pay to play in that (1,500 seat) stadium?

  6. I really donot like the way they constructed the
It's a bit chaotic. 4 period titles are earned by splitting the season in 4 periods of 8 matches. These get a play off spot. Plus each spot has a different weight, determining which team you have to fight. Etc.

Chaotic is a good word, but I think it's kind of interesting (i.e. 8 Eerste division teams playing 2 Eredivisie). I do like how it doesn't completely sink a club due a bad run of form (due to injuries or whatever) during the season.
Given the qualification rules, what happens if the club at the bottom of the season table qualified by being the best in a period? That is, they won their period and, say, lost every game that season?

I don't like to give Texas any credit for anything. But my one exception is Whataburger > In & Out

I'm wondering if a team could qualify without winning a game.

For this to happen, you'd have to have one of two scenarios:
Draw every game, getting 38 points, and every reserve team sitting in playoffs spots

Every team (besides reserves sides?) draws or loses (only to reserves sides and only if they don't count) in a period and you win the tiebreakers.

    Statistically improbable, I'm thinking.

You are a wise man. Whataburger is ********ing fabulous.
Being in Maryland currently we have family export the Fancy and Spicy Ketchup on the regular.

  14. They're entitled to play for the Eredivisiespot, that's the reward for being the best in that 8 match serie. You still have a hell of a ko run to make to get to the final challenge, the ko matches for the Eredivisie.

  15. Too lazy to calculate, but if that teams draws every match they end up with 38 points.
In the current situation you would end up in spot 17.

But what if all the Young teams win all their matches against the regular teams, except for the draws against our team?
That would mean the counting starts at table nr. 5 as Young teams cannot promote and our team would have 16 points advantage against the other teams as these lose those 8 home and away matches.
Interesting. Nice excercise for someone keen to see if this is possible.
Donot think it's possible to get a Period title with 8 draws, so you have to end up in a position on the table not lower than 12.....I think.

Would 19th place get relegated in this scenario?

  18. I think it is possible, but the clubs in the tier below arenot keen on going up iirc.

I once opined that the level of hype around In-N-Out is overblown. It's a decent fastfood burger, no more, no less.

As a result, I had to obtain a new identity & have my face remoddled in order to continue living in Southern California.

Whereas I'm a Texan living in California, and prefer the In-n-Out burger. (Animal style, please.)

On the other hand, In-n-Out fries are barely edible. They're about on par with my first attempt at homemade French fries. Mine got better. Theirs didn't. How can a whole fast food chain be so bad at fries?
