I'm trying to look at the positives for Keizer to give him the benefit of the doubt - since I don't think he's leaving, Varandas picked him and he knows if he lets him go it'll damage his image. - Has a chance to win as many trophies as JJ in 3 years (and more important ones, rather than League Cup and Supercup) - Has beaten Braga twice, beat Porto for the League cup and now beat Benfica (who we hadn't beaten for 8 straight derbies) - Had no pre-season and inherited an unbalanced squad Cons: - Poor results away from home which knocked us out of the title race - Some stubborn choices like Gudelj staying in the team Of course a lot of the positives have been because one player has carried this team.
He's no starter imo, but he always seems to provide a spark when he comes in at the 65-70 mark. He's got some decent skill and fast. Throwing him in at that time when everyone else is tired is a good move. Him starting is a different story.
Borja was also very good last game, and in fact I've liked him since he signed in January. Clearly a good signing so far. Some highlights from last game (pulled from his thread on ForumSCP): 1113902562422480896 is not a valid tweet id
Final game this Saturday boys. Chance to redeem ourselves after that embarassing cup loss last season. Of course the talk this week will be whether or not Conceicao should be suspended for slapping Renan last game. We've opened a case to investigate it since the referee didn't see it during the game.
And because we are SCP and FCP or SLB, Conceicao will face no suspension until 5 years from now. Do we have any suspensions for this game? How about Porto?
Borja and Ristovski are out due to their red cards in the league. Porto won't have Corona due to his red card, although in the last game Felipe should have seen at least 3 red cards.
An investigation was opened related to Conceicao but of course even if they decided to suspend him before Saturday, Porto can appeal the decision which would allow him to participate.
So much for the alliance All because Conceicao put his hand on Renan and we protested it. Francisco J. How can this guy not find some sporting fan working at the DMV and trade him some free tickets for a passed drivers exam? Crazy
Just another example of Portugal's ridiculous bureaucracy. Any other country in the world he'd just get a ticket and continue on with his day.
Yeah I think he just didnt have it with him. Apparently he turned into a street illegally and cops pulled him over. Its a common everyday thing which of course the media now spins as if he were driving drunk.
Watching the U20s world cup first, so hopefully an opening win there and another trophy for Sporting!
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.re...poiar-o-sporting-na-final-da-taca-de-portugal Lol Patricio is getting skewered on this post. Genuinely dont get people sometimes. Expected starting lineup. Big game needed from Coates and Mathieu today, they're gonna have to support the fullbacks quite a bit. I'm gonna say Bruno Fernandes gets a brace in his last game and we win 2-0.
This team can't go into next season with Coates as a starting CB. Dude is just a catalog of mental lapses.
Agree. He has to be upgraded. Even if the club has to spend a little more than is normal. He can't be relied on in big games.
