Only reason Americans would buy Juve Jersey from an addias store is if they dont care to have patches, names and numbers. Most stripe jerseys dont look good without name and number so ya they wont buy from adidas, they would buy direct from Juve. Also most adidas stores i go to barely have any Juve gear anyway, so its not like theyre available and people arent buying, its just adidas just sucks
Garbage kits...screw adidas and the design team! They are trying to make us into some type of stupid moda brand. We are a soccer team!!! Not a team of ballerinas! Fanculo!
the red/white looks like a really cheap imitation of a real jersey and the feint camo looks like something that some irrelevant small club in south america would try for a gimmick. Adidas is heavily catering to the young generation z market who falls for gimmick stuff like this... the 3rd kit and the away look like something a skateboarder or youtuber who does pranks would wear. but they have been doing the same to Germany for the past decade, so i guess its overdue. with all the money Juve have, they could afford to just go back to Kappa who made some really clean jerseys for Juve. Its not like Juve are going to spend the adidas money on a MIDFIELDER.
They have to be TROLLING US now. Every year it gets worse and now we have RED and white? We never where red. Agnelli needs to hold Aid to their and get an assurance of a decent kit going forward. He!! let LAPO design them. They couldn't be any worse. His would at least be interesting.
In the "Can it get any worse" category ... Juventus have launched their pre-match jersey for next season, made of plastic gathered from the world’s oceans. The shirt, which will be wore during warmups, was made in collaboration with environmental organisation Parley for the Oceans. “Together we can change the game,” read Adidas’ description of the jersey. “For Juventus's pre-match jersey, adidas joined forces with Parley for the Oceans to create a design with purpose. “This football jersey features yarn spun from plastic that's reclaimed on the shore before it reaches our oceans. “It has a lightweight construction, with graphics that evoke motion. The back collar carries the message ‘For the Oceans’.” Parley has already helped Adidas with special editions of shirts for Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
La Maglia Bianconera, which has been spot on with the releases for a while now, are claiming that Juve will return to the stripes next season and that this season was an experiment (guess it didn't go well).
Juve will continue with what has been revealed so far for 2019/2020. For 20/21 they will go back to the stripes. I should have said this season is an experiment.
oh look the stupid suits in corporate who think they know what they're doing finally realize the mistake they made how pathetic that you have to announce next year's kits plans when this year's hasnt even hit the stores yet lol how about listening to the fans and the market for once? dont understand these so called "experts" and the stupid market data they come up with. Any small market feedback would have told you 6 months ago that fans will not be happy about this design. Instead of rethinking and changing it, they said no lets try and see what people say. Now they release and have been hit with flurry of negative feedback and probably not selling enough, so they decide to go back to the old way. well ******** off adidas
i got a friend who works in marketing, clothing design, etc....and he told me the reason adidas and even nike these days experiment with these wacky designs because they are trying to make sportswear more like street clothing. They come up with designs that maybe rappers or other athletes like or something people could wear even if they are not necessarily a fan of the team. i get trying to appeal to a larger audience, but typically when you do this, you lose the original fans. You cant please everyone, they need to leave these experiments for the trainers and accessorry gears like jackets and tshirts, dont mess up the game day jerseys
My guess is that they want to create something new to get you to buy it. There are those who will buy a new shirt because they want the latest one. Then there are those who look to have something that is more traditional. Unless they come up with something that is spectacular, I doubt these new kits are going to make a difference in the market.
The detail on the numbering, on the jersey there's the faint camp pattern, on the shorts it's solid white.
If you have a subscription to the Athletic, this is a great article discussing the new half and half look, with an interview with Adidas' director of design. So why was the change made? Juve management wanted it. https://theathletic.com/1011673/201...s-jarring-change-to-a-century-old-kit-design/
Interesting ruling considering the 3 stripes has been associated with adidas since their inception. #Adidas’s three-stripe logo has been ruled invalid as a trademark after an EU court ruled it was not distinctive enough. The General Court of the #EU ruled that the stripes are “an ordinary figurative mark”, upholding a 2016 ruling by the EU’s intellectual property regulator. pic.twitter.com/ahWN4E2mok— Ornella D. Actually the tweet is not entirely accurate. Adidas has many registered trademarks with stripes, and the ruling was about the three black vertical stripes on white background. Since it was deemed not distinctive enough, their only chance was to prove that it become distinctive for the goods and services registered. And Adidas was not able to prove this, because trademark was not used much in the form registered. For example in the tweet is shown three white stripes on black background. This was not allowed as proof by the court. They had to prove the use of three vertical blackstripes on white background for the goods and services that the trademark was registered for. If I have time I will attach the correct picture of the trademark. All in all, this is no big deal for Adidas.
