Shake Shack is a good burger but nothing special. If you haven’t had it before it’s worth a try and then you’ll go back to your favorite burger joint the next time.
The feature is that they sell a very good piece of meat. The bun, the toppings, the stupid secret sauce that everybody has, none of it is particularly noteworthy. The cheese is top notch however. They put out a great burger, well cooked, not a two-fisted pile of grease that you end up wearing all over yourself. Try the black & white shake.
If you don't specify, they'll cook it to medium, but if you ask they're happy to do it a shade or two rarer.
Things I liked about the final ep (non spoiley) That amazing shot of Dany with wings Ghost getting good boi pats Westworld trailer
Keep it spoiler free people. Season as a whole? Meh. I loved the Battle of Winterfell episode, from a technical aspect especially. Finale itself? Mmeehhhh...
I thought the season was good. I feel like I’m in the minority saying that. I was underwhelmed with the finale until the end.
It wasn’t terrible like the Twittersphere will have you believe, but it wasn’t great either. Was always gonna be hard for this season to live up to the hype.
D&D simply rushed things too much, likely to be ready for their upcoming Star Wars gig. The underlying storyline is fine; with few disappointments in our house. I await Martin hopefully finishing the last two books.
The wait between season 7 and 8 was too long. My friend summed it up, season 1-7 were for nerds who like character building. Season 8 was for the adventure/comic book hero crowd.
Very true: season 7 ended with a US Open Cup championship while season 8 was the start of a very rough patch. That said, just wait until you get to season 24.
Seemed like a lot of characters suddenly changed their characters for reasons of plotting, rather than consistency.
Martin would be nuts to finish a damn thing. Hes gotten richer than God with this thing. Hes now over it, hes bored with it and I cant imagine a single reason why the old fart would write a single word more. Even if he lives that long.
They were big fights. The characters were dumbed down, the visuals were more important and there seemed less connection to earlier foreshadowing. It seems season 1-7 had some interesting builds season 8 just did what it wanted.
Sure, season 8 didn't build, because it was the end. Hard to build when you have to end. I'm not saying season 8 was great, I thought it was average. I don't think it was the train wreck many are making it out to be though. It's like VAR, it wasn't so bad that I can take a look at the replay. Either way, just hold on, HBO will make a half dozen GoT spinoffs soon enough for the fanboys to beat it to.
I thought it was the worst season. Too much of a rush to wrap things up. Arya ex machina. Dany suddenly breaks bad. [redacted] Etc.
It was a letdown from the other seasons but not exactly a disaster. I understand little build up but some continuity helps. Remember the prophecy of Cercei being killed by a brother? Did we ever find out what the Night King spirals represented? Why was the Night King so easy to kill? Wasn't H'gar supposed to return? There are plenty more but you get my drift. Which may explain this season. Perhaps 1-7 was written as a stand alone series and season 8 was a bridge to the spinoffs.
I just think its hard to finish off shows sometimes. Best example of this would be Lost. Seasons 1-4 were amazing. Season 5 i hated the first time around, second time around it was ok. Season 6 was trash, with the most bullshit ending in television history. GoT final season and series finale was 100x better than what Lost had. That doesn’t even begin to address all the unanswered questions, blah blah blah. For me, i feel like everyone in GoT ended up where they were supposed to end up, it was just rushed through due to time constraints. And if you wanna talk about unanswered pointless shit, all the three-eyed raven junk was 100% pointless. Literally nothing more than a lazy plot device that revealed one piece of info, that if it hadn’t existed the character it refers to still would’ve made the decision they made in the finale (trying to be vague).
