Looks like he's at right back again, per Kicker.

These last two games are irrelevant for Schalke, they're safe. They could play Wes as keeper in the last one.

I'm not watching, but with Caligiuri also starting, I'd imagine it's more RCB in a back 3/5 with Caligiuri as the wing back, rather than McKennie as a pure RB.

He was indeed a RCB. He did seem to have some freedom to chase or he was very undisciplined for a center back. I thought he played well. He caught an elbow to the face on a corner kick and that resulted in a PK that was unsuccessful.

I believe the rogue runs are pre-approved, but I’m not in the locker room. Certainly don’t see anyone complaining.

The Schalke 6 was responsible for the GA

McKennie saved a 2nd would-be winner for Leverkusen when his teammate gave the ball away in a really bad spot just after Leverkusen scored their first.

Rescuing from page 2, since a 20y.o. BL starter is no longer noteworthy

Finished 1-1, Caligiuri missed a pk in the 2nd half

Has he really been playing RCB as all my lineups show him?

They all start in the day when all the games are simultaneous. Following four games closely at the same time (the Bayern one is a must-watch) is getting complicated, and aging doesn't help.

Schalke looks likely to finish #14, their worst finish matching the ones for the 10/11 season and the 93/94. One has to go back to 87/88 for a worse finish, when they got relegated and spent three seasons in Purgatory.

Yup, 0-0 tie good for 14th, with 6 points (1-0-3) in the last 4 games

Overall, how did Weston do this season?

2 goals/6 assists in 33 matches, but he's a midfielder so there's a lot more to him than that.

Anyone watch his game today? He scored at 7.4 on WhoScored. That was the second highest score for Shalcke, only behind the GK.

He's been basically the first guy on their team sheet all year, he's played every position except LB and LW, and he jut does a job for them. You'd like to see more of him at CM where he belongs, but his versatility is really something at this level. Hopefully Wagner will get the most of him next season.

He stopped everything on his side (played RCB in a 3-man back line) and provided a good outlet. Solid game.

PS: He was today what English commentators call "nifty."

He seems like a Wagner type of player. And he's made good with much less talent.

I believe he has the qualities to be a reasonable star in Serie A.

Unfortunately no clubs outside the CL would have the cheddar to go after him. But he could be the 1 to get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for us from that peninsula.

WM in Italy would be amazing. Italy seems to be investing a bit more these days after some lean years but feel like Italy doesn't have the Q rating of Germany or England (or even Holland) for our guys. Quality of life though? Give me Italy/Spain/Greece/Croatia all day
