You’re right. The summer transfer window actually closes in mid May.

I think he deserves one good run in a big club, even if he is only starter for 1 year.

Antonio Briseños agent mentioned today that he has 3 offers. One from a team in Portugal, one team in France, and Chivas. In that order of preference.

Speculative interest from a historically 2nd tier Italian team is what these "developmental" leagues get you. Kind of disappointing.

  11. Chucky hasnot been playing great the last few months. The match in which PSV lost the title, Chucky should have shone. He didnot.

Ajax was down to ten men, losing the defender that was Lozano's opponent.
Yet Ajax scored twice after that red card and PSV didnot cash in the opponents numerical disadvantage in the defense.
That was the match the top scouts were watching from the stands with all the hot prospects on the pitch.
This was the wrong matchg to be invisible.

We finna act like Chucky didn’t lose the title to the same team that went toe to toe with the best of the best in Europe. Ok.

No offense, breh. PSV wouldn't have even challenged for the title without Chucky...

  15. That's without a doubt true, but also why PSV lost the race, because after the winterstop Chucky hardly ever managed to reach his level of before the winterstop!
Before the winterstop he made the team of the week several times, after it I cannot recall one.
Well, after the Ajax match he got into the VI team of the week.
He also isnot in the team of the year of both Voetbal International and AD Sportwereld.
The players that are on the verge of big transfers abroad are!
For the top class teams you have to show you're at least a 90% of the matches performer in the Eredivisie due to its reputation of a not so strong league. The performance level of Chucky after the winter break I think has cast doubt into the minds of the brass of the elite teams.

I blame Mexico NT manager, Tata and the Mexican media for not letting him go back to Europe sooner, instead of keeping him for a game he didn't even play in..

Not only that but they beat the shit out of him all season to the point where he couldn't finish it. He never really had time to regain his form after the concussion and that includes this Ajax game. He needs to move to a better league where attacking players are protected.

Had nothing to do with winterstop, it was the concussion. Don't ignore those facts for you narrative. He may very well have lost his chance at a top 4 club BUT due to the concussion and his performance after.

  19. If you think there are leagues where attacking players are more protected than in the Dutch league for Chucky to move to I think you're in for a big disappointment. Unless you want him to transfer to Iceland.

That would be worse because referee level matters. I've seen chucky hammered and he gets the card for diving. I've seen him hacked down so many times and only a yellow. Trust me the level of defender and level of referees matters and overall both in the dutch league are poor.

  21. Well, if you believe that you're free to do so.
The concussion, which wasnot so bad as initially feared, was in the match nr 19.

"Don't ignore those facts for you narrative."
I like Chucky very much and wish him all the good in the soccer world. That's I think very clear to those who in the Mexican boards read my posts.
You're suggesting I've a hidden agenda towards him.
If you only want halleluja reports on how he performed and not how it really was just donot read what I post. I've nothing against him, on the contrary, but I'm not going to sugar coat what is to make you happy.
The reason for his less form after the winter stop may be because of the reason you mention, but we're talking about 16 matches after that one.

  22. You obviously donot watch the EPL. I gave an example of the level of refereeing there with the Kevin DeBruyne being kicked out of the match and seriously injured for a long time in the match against Totally Hotshits by Delli Ally iirc, while the ref even didnot book him. And that's just one of those incidents. But it's very apparent you've a dislike for the Dutch league and are eager to find a stick, even imaginary ones, to beat the Dutch league. But ut's okay if you want to believe in a delusional dream that Dutch refereeing sucks and Dutch defenders suck. Unfortunately for you both Dutch refs get top matches in Europe and World Cups and Dutch defenders are being sold for ridiculous prices. If a Mexican defender would be sold for half the price we got for our top defenders you would be jumping up and down the road all from Acapulco to Mexico City. But it's okay, you're entitled to your imaginary truth.

I swear a lot of Mexicans can't take ANY criticism for Mexican players. This is ridiculous. Said it before and say it again, we are not THAT much better then the nad fans, it's part of our insecurity that we really have never won anything of meaning (no, the 2012 olympics don't mean jack S***).

Things aren't looking very good for Edson. PSV said he was too expensive for them now and Ajax already bought some Argie defender for 7 mill EU. I hope another team like inter takes him because the Dutch giants appear to be passing up on him.
