2007 Salt Lake went their first 11 games without a win which is the league record for winless streak to start the season. Game 11 for the Rapids is this week...against Salt Lake. Arguably if the Rapids lose that game they'll have the worst start to the season ever with only 2 points. 2012 TFC at least had 3 points by game 11.
Sorry I had to rep this but my rule is if my first reaction to a post is to laugh then I have to rep it, appropriate or not.
2007 RSL had 6 points after 11 games (0W-5L-6T): http://aragon.ws/soccerdb/league/table.php?stageId=324&matches=0&rounds=1&roundCount=11 2019 COL is on course for the worst winless start if they do not beat RSL next.
Colorado scored 2 goals in their 3-2 loss. They are tied for 10th through 13th in goals per game. They have allowed 30/11 = 2.73 goals per games. The MLS record is 2.52 allowed by the Tampa Bay Mutiny in 2001. The second highest is 2.18 by Orlando City last year. Colorado would have to allow 1.91 goals per game the rest of the season to tie Orlando and 55/23 = 2.39 the rest of the season to avoid breaking the record. Because of 9/11, Tampa Bay only played 27 games in 2001. 27 and 34 relatively prime, meaning they have no common factors greater than 1, so Colorado cannot allow exactly the same amount of goals per game as Tampa Bay did (unless Colorado ends up with more or fewer than 34 games).
