Gonzalez (not the US one) to LA is official: NEWS | The #LAGalaxy have signed @pipogonzalez88: https://t.co/izo5aiCLdc pic.twitter.com/4gucPU7ZJU— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) April 11, 2019 LA sends the 11th slot in the allocation order, 300k in 2019 TAM, and 100k in 2020 TAM to Orlando for the second slot and then sends that and their 2020 first round pick in the Superdraft to TFC for the #1 slot. That #1 slot is likely going to be valuable this summer since there seems to be a good possibility that Gonzalez (the US one) is coming back to MLS.
Sounders sign 17-year-old Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez to a HG deal. https://www.soundersfc.com/post/201...orward-alfonso-ocampo-chavez-homegrown-player AOC signed with the Defiance last year and was the majority of the Sounders U17 team's scoring production when they won this year's GA cup with 6 goals in 6 matches. With Bruin and Ruidiaz both injured, he may see some bench time, but is more likely to return to the Defiance for playing time.
Corey Burke out indefinitely for the Philadelphia Union due to Visa issues: https://www.philadelphiaunion.com/post/2019/05/03/ernst-tanner-address-status-striker-cory-burke Burke will not count against the cap or take up an international roster spot during his absence.
I'm not buying the whole "not in trouble with anybody" line, I mean there has to be SOME reason they're not letting him in right (overstayed an expired visa perhaps?). But maybe I'm reading too much into it, and they misspelled his name or something...
Without driving this into a political thread I'll just say that between typical government bureaucracy snafus and the current focus on immigration by the country's leadership I wouldn't be shocked that somebody that didn't do anything wrong still can't get into the country for some reason or another.
Second Philly team to have visa issues with a player this season. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/flyers-cam-talbot-not-available-until-thursday/ Thx, Jay!
Portland sends David Guzman to Columbus for an internation slot. Siad international slot was then sent to Houston for 175k in GAM. This frees up about 400k in salary space for Portland.

Calvo on what happened in Minnesota: They took of him out of his position in the middle and he tried to play on the left. He lost his head against TFC and he takes responsibility for that but Minnesota threw him in the garbage like a rookie. https://t.co/wOy1OqNEre— Guillermo Rivera (@FireConf) May 6, 2019 Thx, Jay!
I imagine that's going to make a bulletin board in a certain locker room... Oh, Saturday is going to be fun...

Atlanta's natural second round selection in the 2020 draft: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...-acquire-winger-justin-meram-columbus-crew-sc
In other news, David Accam going to Columbus for $100,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, $400,000 in General Allocation Money and an International Roster Spot. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/05/08/columbus-crew-acquire-david-accam-philadelphia-union
I think Accam could still be a very good player but I'm not sure how he fits in Columbus' system. It kind of feels like a desperation move.

We hope Abubakar comes back in better form. Zlatan abused him last year like a rag doll so he escapes that at least. His last match vs Houston was not good.
As a USMNT fan I'm excited that Lewis should get a chance to start and play a lot of minutes in Denver. He has definitely shown some flashes and we just don't have a lot of guys in the pool who can take guys 1 v 1, get into the box and deliver dangerous balls from wide positions. That said, Colorado did just spend $775K in TAM on two guys who have not been regular starters and one deal is just a loan.
