That would be a fairly epic double-header to shoot for if you're into them both One of the Nats I love to death, but they try to price me out of everything they do The other Nats I would not watch if it were free to do so and probably not if they paid me less than 5 figures to do so
Lets see 3+ hours of boring ass baseball followed by what, a 2 hour break and then 2 hours of soccer plus travel time on both ends, I think I'll pass on both. Way too much to do to blow 8+ hours out of my day. Not to mention I am not highly inclined to pay much more than my seat price to see the US play a 2nd tier CONCACAF team in a non-competitive match. And you know I am a) not getting my seat b) not getting any seat in that stadium for the face value on my front row seat c) you can be sure the USSF is gonna be selling my seat for at least $300 or 6x my face value.
https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/04/30/report-dc-united-acquire-pedroso-fc-dallas-1st-round-pick Per Goff: D.C. United trades 2020 first-round draft pick to FC Dallas for Marquinhos Pedroso, a LB in 4-man backline and wingback in a 5. Dallas apparently keeping salary on books. DCU needs immediate help with Mora out for awhile longer and McCann still on mend.
Trade drama MLS has yet to approve the proposed trade, which would require Dallas to keep a large portion of Pedroso’s salary on its books. The issue is tied to the manner in which Dallas signed Pedroso last summer. The club used discretionary targeted allocation money, a mechanism that forbids the trading of such a player until he has been in the league for a full year. Pedroso signed July 5, 2018. The sides, multiple people familiar with the talks said, are continuing to seek another resolution. One source said they should “find a solution in the next day or two.”
So DC can't make a bad trade for a spare tire, but LA gets some indefinite number of DPs? I know Loudon is already depleted. But is there nobody in middle school we could bring up to play outside back? We've already blown through our college players I think.
They need a couple of days for the cashiers check to MLS HQ to clear. [Kevin Hart]...but you see, the way I got my bank account set up, I got a checkings and a savings, but all my money is in my savings, so I gotta switch it to my checkings, but it's gonna take 3 business days...I don't think it's gonna go through."[/Kevin Hart].
Except MLS owns all the contracts for both teams ... so more like this movie quote (ish) The Check Is Coming From INSIDE THE BANK!!!
The team really should be 3 deep at each fullback spot to begin the season. It's such a demanding position and we do always get injuries there.
The player currently assigned to Loudoun is Edwards. Everyone else is already up on the bench or injured. Hell, half the players playing for LUFC aren’t even on their website. Thx, Jay!
I just got an email with the presale code. The code didn't work, but technically tickets aren't on sale until 10 am so might have to wait until then.
I'm still in the waiting room. Mainly curious about the ticket prices at this point. Edit to add: Got in. The code works, but the website is so badly organized that you have to pick a specific seat and then enter the code. Seats in section 115 popped up as $26 each.
Huh. These seats aren't too terribly priced. I can get seats 1 row behind where I sit for DC United game for $58 plus fees. But since that's on the East side, the sun would definitely be an issue the first half with a 7 PM kick.
