    Freiburg full of youth.
    XI: Stenzel, K.Schlotterbeck, Waldschmidt
Bench: Koch, N.Schlotterbeck, Frommann and finally Daferner making his 1st ever 1st team squad.

Hope to see Daferner make his pro/1BL debut today!!!

so far I think your 98-99 strikers who have the edge to next U21 are
    98-Serra, J.Eggestein, L.Nmecha
    99-D.Otto, Wintzheimer, Kruger

are these 6 guys the rest of them need to be playing at a higher level between now-Summer 2019. Guys like
Daferner, Warschewski, Ache, Amenyido, Lauberbach, Stark,Engelhardt, Musel, Pieringer, Steinkotter,Harant, Y.Otto, Nieland, Roczen, Kaya, Berisha and a few other names.

speaking of Berisha who plays in Austrian Bundesliga, do think it's interesting that if you compare him to Hoff's Joelinton who was loaned there for 2 seasons.
Joelinton-15 goals and 6 assists in 60 games. This is when he was 20-21, for 2 seasons.
Berisha-9 goals and 7 assists in 26 games. This is when he was 19-20 for 2 seasons including present......

    2BL
-Schubert and Burnic kept a clean sheet vs 1st place Koln in a 3-0 win. Burnic is doing pretty well this Winter loan. I hope he attracts 1BL attention in summer.
-01 GK Damaj made the Heidenheim bench for the 1st time. Another 01 Bella-Kotchap made his 2nd bench but unused again.
-00 Finn Becker played his 2nd pro cap for St Pauli as a sub but got 2 yellow=red. Instead of playing entire 2nd half he only played 27 min due to red.
-Platte and Mehlem returned from injury both started on bench. Mehlem got playing time but not Platte.
-Kaya continues to get some scrap minutes. Will be interesting to see if Ingolstadt survives or not? As it will determine if 2BL or 3rd Liga for him.

    1BL
Daferner made his 1BL/pro debut playing 24 min in a 4-0 loss to Dortmund. I thought he was okay in the game not much one can expect vs Dortmund. He only got chance because Petersen, Holer, and Kleindienst were MIA, would he otherwise??? I hope he gets more chances since Freiburg won't be relegated. Wonder what Freiburg plan for him, integration for next season? Or season loan somewhere?

"Manu does that well, the goal will give him confidence, even if we did not win. He was back in the right place and kept his foot out, that's what distinguishes a striker ", according to the 'MoPo' also a special praise from HSV captain Aaron Hunt. Wintzheimer meanwhile directed the look forward again. "We have to go full throttle now. We can not do more than that ", the 20-year-old is quoted by the newspaper.

glad to see him do well. The more he continues doing well the more he increases his chances of playing 1BL with HSV if they get promotion. Also still wonder what Serra does in Summer another season in 2BL or jump to 1BL, I'm sure there is interest in him.

    Dutch 2nd division
Arweiler scores his 5th of the season in comeback 3-1.

    2BL
Saglam who has barely played all season and was reported headed out of Bochum. Has started the last 4 matches. Suddenly Dutt is into him and wants to keep him beyond his 2020 contract. Also he's being compared to 1BL Fortuna's Kevin Stoger who moved there from Bochum in Summer.

    Magdeburg youth.

    Several talents come to professionals
The first visible signs are already in the new season. Kallnik reveals that with Pascal Schmedemann (18 years) and Marvin Temp (18) two A-juniors are permanently brought to the pros. Anton Kanther (18), also active in the U19, has an offer. With Philipp Harant (20) and Leon Heynke (19), both are currently on loan to the regional division Germania Halberstadt, return two talents to Magdeburg.

"They will all be in the preparation and should try to recommend themselves," says Kallnik. "If they have a chance of appearing, they stay with the second division team. If not, we aim to borrow so they can play practice. "

    speak of the devil.

Bundesliga: Grandson of Franz Beckenbauer beckons professional contract with Hannover 96
Luca Beckenbauer apparently beckons a professional contract with Hannover 96. The grandson of football legend Franz Beckenbauer is currently captain of Hanover's U19 and has been recommended in this role apparently for higher tasks.

"Of course he still needs time, but in perspective Luca Beckenbauer is estimated to be eligible for a professional contract," said 96-president Martin Kind opposite the picture.

The 18-year-old center-back was allowed to train several times with the pros and should work his way up to the professional team of the Lower Saxony via the U23 in the Regionalliga Nord.

Hanover's junior head Michael Tarant is one of the youngster's biggest supporters and brought him one year ago from the youth of FC Schalke 04 to the Hanoverians.

"The name is a heavy burden, everyone is thinking of his famous grandfather, I talked to Franz at the time and told him that 96 would be a good move, so that he can develop in peace," Taranat said, "Luca is very ambitious, he takes responsibility as captain and does his job very well. "

The descent and the accompanying departures of some professionals, however, could speed things up this summer.

Franz Beckenbauer also hopes that his grandson will seize this opportunity to gain a foothold in professional football: "I would be very happy if it worked out." Luca had a great education at Bayern and Schalke, which will certainly help him, "said the world champion of 1974.

joins Tarnat and Neiss as players who are getting pro contracts. Wonder if Gudra gets one next season? As for Beckenbauer seems to be developing well. Was Captain of Schalke U17 before long term injury made him waste last season with Schalke U19 where he played like 1 game. Moves to H96 U19 and becomes captain and now headed for pro contract and a player they view as 1st team prospect.

and it's interesting yet another 00 cb player and one who like Mercan (before his recent Camp call up) had been pretty much ignored by dfb. Wonder how much that long term injury played a role. Also seems eligible for Austria, so a dual national.

    Austrian Bundesliga
Berisha with a goal and assist in a 4-0 win.

takes his season tally to 5 goals and 3 assists in 9 games. And this also makes him the most productive player for SCR Altach, a club that was a the bottom for most of the season. It's obvious had Berisha not wasted his time on loan in 2BL in a club who never gave him a chance that he would be in top 5 scores in Austrian Bundesliga. Currently in just outside top 15.....

    German Cup
Vagnoman got a rare start for HSV as they lost 3-1, played 69 min. Wintzheimer was unused, just realized that Wintzheimer has scored same amount as the on loan Hwang while playing 1100 min less in 2BL.

wins sees Klostermann (and Werner) go to the DFB cup final.

Bayern U14 (05 age group) won a tourney that included PSG, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan. What's that Kenan Yildiz's holding top scorer or best player award? Kid has won numerous best player or top scorer in tournaments during the course of this season. I've already lost count to how many.

lol, graduates to what? RB Leipzig have 0 min for Academy players in 1BL, worse in the entire league. That's a club that so far has shown themselves to have 0 trust in players with no pro experience. And some of these pro contracts is the fraudulent ones where it's about getting 12 German players.....

01-Frederik Jakel signs pro contract until 2022.

well until 2022 is interesting since as a 01 his time in U19 is over in 2020. So that's 2 years post U19 for a club with no II.

I think Nagelsmann will determine the fate of RB Leipzig U19 players starting this Summer. Whether they get chances or continue to be unused.

I think you are too harsh on Leipzig. It's a new club with a new academy. Give them at least more 5 years before you start to criticize them for not giving youth a chance. These things take time. Abouchabaka has stagnated badly. You can't blame them for not giving him chances. He's sloppy on the ball and gets outmuscled all the time. He might become a good player in a couple of years though. They don't have German youth players who are good enough at the moment. Fabrice Hartmann probably has what it takes to be a Leipzig player in the future. If he doesn't get a lot of first team minutes in 2-3 years, maybe we should start giving them some flak.

Abouchabaka is on loan to Furth and I've seen all 3 of his games for the 1st team and he played well enough when given the chance and he wasn't getting outmuscled. But the club is struggling even firing a coach so they haven't given chances to youngsters even Bauer is getting barely any chances.

let\s be honest RB Leipzig don't care about youth with no experience, Rangnick even alluded to such things. Talking about how this is a CL team, they don't have time or risk on inexperience. The fraudulent contracts also show that they use these youngsters as well, which is disgusting anyways.

if they cared about their youth they wouldn't take English kids on loan and a desire to develop them instead of their own and both of those kids have pro experience too. RB Leipzig also keeps buying young NY and Salzburg players as well.

why give 5 years to the worst club in terms of Academy chances in the league and you know that's not a new thing. They've been at 0 in 1BL for a few seasons (or was that since they were in 1BL?)

I'll keep giving RB Leipzig and Frankfurt flak and it's not just them Bayern are also terrible at youth promotion. In the end these clubs have 0 plans on promotion or loans.

could all change with Nagelsmann though....

interesting at the amount of young German strikers at Karlsruher.
99-Vujinovic currently on loan (contract until 2021)
00-Kother (contract until 2022) and Batmaz (contract until 2021)

Kother and Batmaz also U19 teammates.
