The lineup I suggested above is definitely the one I want to see tomorrow. The only possible change I wouldn't mind seeing is Dalot playing at the RW spot. Lingard, despite his horrible form of late is still my preferred choice, because he's the arguably the best guy we have for the press, but he'll play more inside and we'll probably line up in a 4-4-2 with a diamond mid. But if Ole is looking for a genuine wide threat from the right, then Dalot would be the way to go, as he's the best crosser of the ball we have at this time.
They also didn't need a whole bunch of offside goals or their best player to spend most of his season diving for penalties to be in contention either
The provisional squad for tomorrow: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant, AY, Matteo Darmian, Diogo Dalot, Chris Smallng, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, AP, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial. Get that it's already full in a way as it is (with 2 guys not making the cut tomorrow), but it's disappointing that there is no room, once again, for Greenwood (or any other youngster).
you literally put Lingard as an 8 though. Darmian isn't match sharp much less match fit. recipe for disaster that
James Milner says he'll be supporting Manchester United on Wednesday evening 👀https://t.co/t7mexNvUvt #LFC #MUFC #mcfc#bbcfootball pic.twitter.com/kA9JX2iha1— BBC Sport (@BBCSport) April 23, 2019 Respect to Milner, on some level, to keep it completely 100. Van Dijk was correct when he said that United need a result for themselves and Klopp made his clever quip. But when it's all said and done we all know that the vast majority of Pool fans, players and everyone affiliated with them or people wanting Pool to win the title will be pulling hard for United to cause an upset tomorrow.
Respectfully disagree. I've always felt that CMs have more impact on a team's performance than strikers do. I mean just look at how dramatically different our team looks when Pogba actually gives a shit.
The bunch of offside goals that Sofabloke said above, that problem can be solve by VAR who are introduce to EPL next season. I support VAR and looking forward into it. All of Liverpool offside goals that Sofabloke said won't be count next season, not just only Liverpool offside goals, but this go to any teams. Tbh, if I was Liverpool, I fight till my last breathe to win this season, as next season will be harder due to VAR will start scanning offside goals. Actually VAR will make it harder for any team to win next season. And about Milner support United in the derby match, OFCOURSE he will. His team is depending on United to get a win or draw against City, so City can drop points, so his team (Liverpool) can climb back up leading City again. Sheeeshh I be support United too if my team is depending on another team to get my rival to drop points. Liverpool doing great this season, they only lost 1 match (the match against City). Their problem is too many draws, SEVEN draws so far, and it their draws that cost them to go 1 point behind City. I don't know who to support, as I'm just an outsider watching. But may the best team win tomorrow.
Please fcuk off back to the Pool forum with this outsider bullshit posting crap about united and sucking up to that lot.
VAR will make it harder for any team to win it all? That's gatekeeper level of stupidity right there.
Have a feeling after such a bad performances and being at home, that some of the players will at least show up tonight. Defensive horrors aside, we’ve not scored 4 in last 8 games and not scored from open play in 437 minutes. What will make me mad is that any points we get tonight are ones we should have had against the likes of Everton (that we could have got without helping Luverpool)
Will United spoil City's party again? https://www.skysports.com/football/...-will-united-spoil-pep-guardiolas-party-again Sunday's result was terrible, embarrassing and above all a wasted opportunity, but we surely can expect a response today vs City. They're not invincible and we've got the talent to match or even best on the day. Whether it actually happens, we'll see. But I believe this game will show clearly who cares and wants to be here and those who just don't give a shit. Regardless of the end result, there is simply no excuse to try at least and give it your all. When it's all said and done, this game is first and foremost about us and our quest for a top 4. Couldn't care less about the effect of today's result on the title chase...
Hoping we show some fight but loose... Of all talks abt some players not being part of future the provisional squad speaks something else.. Need Balls..
🗣 Solskjaer: "There will be fouls. They snap at your ankles and heels and kick you."🗣 Pep Guardiola: "Did he say that? With 70% possession, how do we do that? I don't like it. My side is not built like that, not at all. I never said to one player to make fouls."🤔🤔🤔 pic.twitter.com/UzofIDc8cJ— EPL Bible (@EPLBible) April 24, 2019
I'll start by saying - again - that I'm not here to cause shit .... what surprises me is the media are completely focused on the effect tonight's result will have on the title race and "will Utd do LFC a favour?". almost nobody is talking about how important a game this is for YOUR chances of next year's CL.
Ole's comment was not reported to pep with proper context. Ole was intimating how good citeh are and they are tough. He was respectful of them and was in no way condescending.
Either that, or Ole's genuine meaning was completely lost in translation to Pep. Ole's comments definitely conveyed grit and determination and in no way was to offend Pep and his idea of "beautiful/romantic" football...
well, you'll get 6 points for sure from your last 2 games. deprive Chelsea of 3 points (Burnley did it !) and get something tonight, and there's every chance you can get 4th.
