Yep, looking forward to it. Although, and this may be sacrilege to say, but I'm starting to worry that I might get burned out on too much Cobra Kai/Karate Kid. We'll see I guess. (check out my karate kid blog for proof of my karate kid fandom)
Funny I stumbled across this. For those that don't know (which is probably 99.9999% of BS and the rest of the world) I'm the sound supervisor for Cobra Kai. Season 2 is really great - if you enjoyed Season 1, you'll love Season 2. It's different stories and the characters grow in different directions, but it has the same tone with a mix of drama and humor and episode 210 is INSANE... Enjoy.
So how far are people on season 2? I'm 7 episodes in already, I'm enjoying it. I do have to admit, some of the music is so cheesy that it makes me laugh, yet still appropriate for the show.
I blitzed through the whole season in one day. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Fingers crossed for a third season
I'm three episodes into season two. It's still the charming, easy watch that made season one so very delightful.
I'm at episode nine of season two so I only have one episode left to watch. It's still pretty good though I think season one was slightly stronger just courtesy of there not yet being a formula that is becoming quite visible at this point. One other thing, seeing the actor who played Tommy in episode six was really a mind-********. I mean, I know the original film was 35 years ago at this point but neither William Zabka or Ralph Macchio have aged to that extent.
Done with it. That final episode felt a bit weird. I also can't believe that would be it in terms of the show. The way it ended makes me feel like this was the middle section of a trilogy. Also: Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Did that text message at the very end of the final episode mean that Elisabeth Shue would return for season three? I can't see them including the character if they couldn't get Elisabeth Shue on board.
They use a lot of music from the original movies. And many cues and songs are call backs to the original movies. Not to mention that Johnny Lawrence is basically stuck in the mid 80s. So it has a very mid 80s feel to it, musically. Luckily we updated the rest of the sound to be much more contemporary.
Season 3 was announced yesterday. And this fall seasons 1 and 2 become available for free with commercial breaks.
Oh I noticed, especially the scene where the 4 of them were taking the motorcycles out. For me it's a cheesy 80's throwback, but I enjoy it. Looking forward to season 3.
I think you mean season 3? On that subject, Ralph Macchio seems to have strongly hinted at the fact that Ali/Elisabeth Shue will indeed be back for their third go-around.
