    Second to SSWH.

The switch to outside defender seems to be working pretty well for Kappelhoff.
    He seems comfortable going forward.

    Edit: They picked Dax McCarty.
I thought he was not good.
Dax McCarty is terrible going forward.

Well we gifted Vancouver with a goal and the ref gifted us with one. One of my pet peeves is cheap pk calls on handballs that are not intentional. I guess fifa is going to clarify the rule. Even when it is in my teams favor how can you call a bicycle type kick 6 inches away intentional. I never saw an angle where it showed it hit his hand anyway. It looked like it hit his chest. Again and again that last pass couldn't find a teammate. The shots that were taken especially many by katai weren't on frame. No great dribbler to open up the game. Schweinsteiger as usual played his heart out. I am so happy I decided to stay home and watch in 72 degree comfort in my lazy boy chair on my 65 inch tv rather than sit out in 40 degree wind chill temps that pathetic display of offense.

I think they were about 10,000 off on that one.

Where's the high scoring games? I thought games would be like 4-3 or 6-5. None of them have been like this.

You have to have great passers and finishers on your team to score a bunch of goals per game.

He’s been getting a lot of shit lately for booting the ball up the field without thought. I’m not sure I agree.

Well for what I expected of the weather it was not too bad. Too bad I could not say that about generally very steady GK Onsted on that howler. That being said (optimism) the Fire totally dominated Vancouver from end to end in this game. Midfield truly beat theirs. Kap is definitely better at RB then at CB now. I think Dax was a beast even if his passes were..erratic. We had a lot of good chances even with poor finishing but to be honest I believe we have a number of guys with skill enough to score. I think the team will drop those chances more and more as the season goes on. Shame to not get 3 vs a poor team though. Unlike the Yallop time the Fire never quit at least.

Mo and Dax have to be mutually exclusive when everyone is healthy.

Dominated possession, but couldn't finish. Our attack was lame. Far too many unforced errors on passes. Terrible blunder by Ousted. This was a game we needed to win. Pitiful turnout, which I take as a #HauptmanOut positive.

Second game streamed on ESPN+ (Apple TV, 50 MB broadband service). Good quality stream, useful features. At $5/mo, this is a no-brainer. Certainly, a much better deal than MLS Live.

I thought the fire would be scored on a lot as well. Looks like they're handling teams fairly well.

  16. So by my count, is is 4 points dropped directly because of Ousted

    2 vs Orlando
    2 vs Vancouver

And he ********ed up SEA's 4th goal.

He may catch up to the Richard "Dirty" Sanchez at some point this year.

If only, we had a steady, healthy, stable goalkeeper like, say, Sean Johnson.

    Oh, yeah, "his distribution"!

Yes sooo many loose passes, especially after winning the ball back Mo, Dax and Marcelo all culpable but not alone. I thought Gutjahr was better this match, imagine if he was a step quicker...

He does have the ability to save points at least. I'll give him credit for one point thanks to that save last week.

This has been a problem a lot this season. At the Red Bull game it was particularly bad.

My big issue was they'd possess the ball for long stretches, near the VAN 18, swing it around with numbers, start looking dangerous, then someone would inevitably just say "f-ck it" and try to launch a low probability cross into the wind to Sapong who would have three guys on him.

I thought we were sloppy as hell but give some credit to Vancouver who suck and just run around disrupting everything when they’re not bunkering.

In my humble opinion any handball, intentional or not, that actually has an impact on the potential result or possibility of a ball going into the goal should be called. I mean it's a lot of conjecture as to what MIGHT have happened if the bicycle kick had not hit the guys arm but if his arm is away from his torso and out to the side and the ball hits a guys arm and it prevents a shot from going on frame it's a hand ball. It goes both ways so I was fine with it because the Fire were putting pressure on and there were a lot of actions in their penalty box and finally something stupid happened.

Overall this game...ugly. I'm never going to get that 90 minutes of my life back. I could have reorganized my sock drawer or cleaned the inside of my refrigerator instead. Regrets...

Great. Ousted has been a disappointment, although way better than Sanchez.
