Anybody have a video or pic of Seth's offside header for a goal? I didn't have the best look in the stadium, but I didn't think he was off when it happened.

He was calling for that ball well before Johnny passed the free kick over to Zusi. It looked well executed.

I also heard on the post-game radio show that Monterrey's second goal was offside. Can anyone confirm this? If so, we played well enough in the first half to be up 3-1, which is a great testament to the fight the team put up in that half. Unfortunately, no way we can hang with Monterrey for 180 minutes, but no shame in that.

Never saw a great angle on the Sinovic offside call, but watching on TV, he looked like he was off.

As for Monterrey's 2nd, I believe he was just barely on.

the video production for this game was absolutely awful. I don't think the disallowed sinovic goal was replayed even once. on the second monterrey goal, they did show it multiple times but they did not seem to have an angle with which it could be judged. This being said, judging by the one time i saw the sinovic goal and couple times I saw the monterrey goal (albeit from terrible angles to judge the respective offsides) it looked like sinovic was off and pizarro was on. and the first monterrey goal, I still don't know what actually happened, as the video feed showed a closeup of something else, and then showed the monterrey player going one on one with melia - can someone that was in the stadium tell me how that came about?
Given that we had two additional legitimate penalty appeals to the one that was actually called (one handling, one foul against nemeth), I think it is at least fair to say that most close ref decisions went their way.

I feel like both opinions from the previous monterrey game thread can feel vindicated. Yes, an SKC team that is on point with its passing (rather than whatever happened in monterrey) can play with the big boys of Monterrey and create a lot of chances - I haven't found xG statistics for this game but I would assume that statistic would imply something closer to a draw as a 'fair' scoreline.
But also yes, they are pressing so well that always playing out of the back will lead to a couple of dangerous turnovers, and quick counters were resulting in dangerous opportunities as our d-line couldn't keep up with their speed.

Oh good lord. This happened right in front of me. They had a player with the ball pressed against the left sideline about 10 yards from midfield. Zusi < 1 yard from player, had shut down the line, Fontas < 1 yard from player had shut down the play toward the center circle, and (I think) Besler, charged up from the defensive midfield and was also within a yard of the player with the ball. The guy that scored overlapped and a quick pass through those three defenders left Melia in a 1x1 and Sinovic in no-man's land as the forward on the right was running in too. It was keystone cops. We lost all defensive shape. Looked like a grade school mob-ball for a brief second until MTY just carved it to pieces.
