Hmmmm........[Deep Thoughts]................[The Eureka Moment]......... [Here Comes The Annoyingly Self-Satisfied Stupidly Smug Solution]..."Aha! Glad you asked! Nota Bene, "Comb" has C, which corresponds to 1. It has O, which corresponds to 2. It has M, which corresponds to 3. It has B, which corresponds to 4. Nothing says "Represented" like a Bijective Map with a finite sequence of natural numbers, Sirs!"
That has to be among the most rep I got from one post. I have 8 so far. D.C. leads Orlando 2-1 in the 80th minute, so a comb is unlikely.

The only team in the top five for total blowout wins or total combs that isn't a 1996 original is Chivas USA. 16 combs in 10 years. Have mercy.
Even more astonishing is that when you look it up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Chivas_USA_season they were not combed at all in their historically dreadful expansion season. In fact, the only comb they were part of of was their mid-season combing of littermate RSL. Actually it's quite astonishing that they only gave up more than three goals twice the entire season (5 to Dallas and 5 to Chicago, both in 5-2 losses). I checked in the assumption that four or five of the 16 could've been from that 4-22-6 season.
I'm a Red Bulls fan, and I didn't think of posting in this topic. All of the goals were in the second half. How many times has a club won a blowout comb in a game and in one half?
I don't have the date, but Columbus once was down 2-0 to Chicago at halftime, and scored 6 in the second half to win 6-2.
It was the season finale in I think 2003. Chicago pulled their regular goalie at the half to get the backup some work before the playoffs. Curtis Spiteri made his only career MLS appearance.
