New Coach! New Players! New Attitude! New Season! I'm looking forward to the 2019 season and seeing many exciting players Pugh, Lavelle, Sullivan, Hatch, Franny, Banini, Bledsoe, Quinn, JLo and OG23! Along with newbies Staab, Dibiasi, McGrady, Bailey and Fiest! This team needs to get off to a great start, score more goals, defend like your lives depended on it and believe and have confidence in each other! It's that easy. Good Luck!
With the World Cup Pugh and Lavelle will miss a sizable chunk of the season and so Washington could have great trouble scoring again, I'm afraid. I think the Spirit really need a bounce-back year, but with the WC stealing two of their best offensive players for a couple of months it could be another struggle. Would like to see this team win some games this year.
I don't particularly follow Washington Spirit, but one player from this team that I liked a lot in the last two seasons is Francisca Ordega: will she be signed again? I didn't see her name in the post at the beginning of this thread. Edit: oh, nevermind! I suppose she's referred to as "Franny" in that post?
New coach! Says everything. Hopefully they will be entertaining to watch again. I'm definitely going to watch when I can. It's not hard to beat the spirit of the last coach's team.

Bordeaux here's the info/lineups for the game Pugh, Lavelle provide offensive spark in first half, Spirit fall 3-1 after second-half comeback - Washington Spirit the Spirit look quite good in the 1st half vs the French League's current 4th best team, than start loosing the game a Pugh, Lavelle, Sullivan & Hatch get subbed out.
Already a much more exciting team to watch! Not world beaters yet, but they're coming along nicely. I can finally watch again and not quit in disgust.
