I like this move, build from the back. This is the team re-organization we should have started two years ago, as we said then, this is going to take some time. Thanks Klein for sending us backwards for two years with your shite moves.
You are being too generous. We are in season 3 of post-Bruce life and still stuck with the crappy contracts of Kitchen, Pedro, Feltscher and $1m/yr "defender" Skjoiulk. It will take another season or two to even get a Klein-clean roster, and then another few months to build a cohesive team with the roster replacements. So we are looking at at least five seasons of damage from the Klein+Pete+Kirovski confederacy of dunces. And this of course assumes Klein makes no decisions* going forward. *I was going to say makes no 'bad decisions' but realized that was redundant.
I'd like point out that Feltscher was out of contract this year and we re-signed him. It was announced two weeks after GBS was announced and a month after DTK was announced. His being here this year is a choice either one of them could have nixed.
Feltscher looked great going forward against the Loons tonight and did a good job helping maintain possession.
He was a beast against them and gave them more than they could handle. Of course if you look at the loons 2nd goal compare Feltscher's reaction and Steres's reaction when the rebound comes.
Don't know the credibility of this source, but there has been smoke from a variety of sources about Gonzalez. Presumably, he would slide in for Steres. According to my sources, #LAGalaxy have agreed to a 3 year deal with Costa Rica defender, Giancarlo Gonzalez. He will be making the move to LA after his international call-up. pic.twitter.com/Yeu7W1PtTT— LA Galaxy Rumors (@LAG_Rumors) March 18, 2019
Reports say we've agreed to terms with Gonzalez but still need to make the deal to move up in the allocation order....
Steres frantically calling teams higher in the allocation order telling them Galaxy are desperate and they should hold out for at least $10 million to swap allocation spot.
Training Update: The LA Galaxy have informed me that Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained inside today.Romain Alessandrini trained outside. Whether that is full-training or off to the side, wasn’t released. #LAGalaxy #MLS— Corner Of The Galaxy (@GalaxyPodcast) March 19, 2019
This Zlatan has done nothing in football until he slaps the gloves on a played goalkeeper, while being able to clean sheet the smurfs. That is stuff of legends.
Gonzalez move has stalled. Seems like we are having trouble obtaining the top allocation spot from Toronto.
The allocation process is keeping us from getting a player? Surprising! Would be a huge bummer not to strengthen one of our weakest positions because of allocation. MLS rules are silly sometimes.
The allocation order only makes sense in that it prevents MLS club owners from getting into a bidding war for the same player. So for the Kraft's it's a good thing, for others not so much.
