GOLAZO! The center back curls a long shot into the top corner!

18 seconds is the record for getting sent off after subbing into a game BTW. Ritchie Kotschau for RSL (I think) years ago.

Did that deflect off the leg of the defender there?

How long was Steven Gerrard on the field before he got sent off that fateful game? (In the PL)

Oh look, Rossi again throws his arms up like he's being murdered, this time on a shirt tug. I might go to a game just to throw something at him.

Not a great day for Salt Lake between AAF and MLS.

I looked this up, and the only thing I could find said it was 50 seconds after his entry. But it was not a very official source, so you may be right.

I think I got the info from Trey of pass em out fame, and he's an excellent source. Pretty sure Baldo was the referee (because of course he was) so I may be able to get someone to ask him about it.

    So about the red card.

It's pretty apparent on video that Portillo cocks and swings his elbow and doesn't make any contact initially. What I can't tell is if he was close enough for that itself to be an act of violent conduct. But when he doubles down and still gets his forearm in there, he's got to go.

Plus, this same referee missed a violent elbow by Michael Barrios back in week 1 under very similar circumstances so...

    1. The disallowed RSL goal seemed a little harsh - looked like the ball was played by LAFC via the tackle.
    2. The red seemed harsh, but i can kinda see it.
    3. That is a GOLAZO from a center back. Nick Zimmerman - oh my. Dude is becoming a bona fide late game monster.

This is a public service announcement:

    Walker Zimmerman is a badass

    That is all

Nick Zimmerman? You are showing that you've followed MLS for more than a minute.

Oh, and I'm glad to see we are all still here. Could have sworn an asteroid was going to break the atmosphere above Talen Energy Stadium last night....

Well, I hope UW beats UNC. But you are pushing me rooting for UW any further than that.

UW is gonna keep getting better with their new coach, very impressed.

Revs attendance looked horrid in that shot just before the game started.

So many missed passes/traps in this game—both teams hoofing it, bad turf.

Revs should be looking for Carles Gil’s feet every time instead of these long balls.
