We had seen a clear improvement on Matic's play the moment Ole arrived. So it stands to reason that he either was brought back too early or that he re-injured himself either vs Arsenal or Wolves. Either way, it's clear that he wasn't 100%...
Been confirmed that Lukaku has left Belgium's training base due to a foot injury. He's expected to be out only for a week though. The only players who will be involved in games this international break are: Pogba, Bailly, Rashford, McTominay, Valencia and Dave.
From the DM, thus should be taken with a grain of salt, but they are reporting that Rashford is a doubt for England's upcoming game due to an ankle injury. Sancho is therefore in line for the start Friday vs Czech Republic. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...cho-Englands-Euro-2020-qualifying-opener.html Why isn't he sent home for proper treatment and rest? As an aside, with all those players who have been deemed not fit by their respective feds, starting to wonder what our medical team is doing tbh. This isn't mere coincidence... .
According to who? The latest reports as mentioned above, still list him as doubtful for Friday's game, but still with the squad. Would be music to our ears if he did indeed left and returned to Manchester.
🏴 @England manager Gareth Southgate confirms @MarcusRashford has returned to #MUFC due to injury. pic.twitter.com/46nupwLBBl— Manchester United (@ManUtd) March 21, 2019 Good new, bad news type deal, but definitely the sensible decision.
He ran the players to the ground. I remember under SAF we had a lot of injuries and it was blamed on luck. Injuries are not about luck, it is about knowing each player's proneness to injury. Ole seems to have inherited that. Rotation is crucial in today's game, Mourinho did it a lot. Ole sticks with his main players every game, that is good for consistency but then you end u playing 7 new players on the pitch. Something has go to give.

Lukaku is a doubt for Watford and Wolves. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...manchester-united-injury-news-lukaku-16033762 Awaiting confirmation from Ole at the end of the week, but that could be a blow as those are the type of games you'd want Lukaku to play in (as he tends to do well vs that type of oppo).
If he's out, we desperately need another finisher in that front 3. Gotta hope Martial is back and finds his form quick.
Latest injury update. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...anchester-united-watford-injury-news-16049366 Let's hope that Ole will show more restraint with players who may not be fully ready. As inconvenient as it would be, it's better to miss out on some players for a game or even 2 now and have them fully fit for the remainder of April which is vital for our top 4 hopes.
Herrera (along with Matic and long term absentees Valencia and Darmian) did not take part in training today.
Injury news/update from Ole at today's press conference: Matic is a doubt. Herrera looks to be out. Rashford will hopefully be ready. Valencia and Bailly are definitely out. Sanchez is back in training and could be ready for WH.
Timmy back at United with a knee injury. https://www.goal.com/en/news/fosu-m...ted-from-fulham-for/9sk9fs0kuf9r1q9a7fk462z5q
This is why I don't see him making it at United. His development has completely stalled because he can't stay healthy.
Latest injury update: Herrera is back in training but Everton is probably too soon for him to return. Bailly should be ready to return in training over the weekend. Matic and Sanchez should be ready to go for this weekend's game. As far as Valencia is concerned, any return date is still unknown at this point. As far as Timmy is concerned, him having a knee injury sucks: hopefully he'll come out well on the other side of it. And I still maintain that he shouldn't be sent out on loan next term and should be looked after at the club and find out once and for all what can be made of him. His long term future may not belong at United and if so, then so be it. But I want to see what Phelan can do with him: I definitely have a feeling of those 2 being a match made in heaven.
So, how was Valencia able to play for Ecuador during the last int'l break, yet can't play for United either side of the break . . . (not that I want him to ).
Perhaps because Ole is done with him. After all, he is the one player he already confirmed by name who will be gone this summer. Think it's a solid sign he no longer figures in his plans.
not that he can't but there is no point giving minutes to him when he is outgoing when we have Dalot waiting who needs minutes to develop. and if not Dalot whoever Solskjær sees as the #1 RB for now at least
Injury update Ole on Herrera: “There are three games left of the season and Ander has been training, he’s been enthusiastic. He’ll probably be involved. I think he’s fit enough to be involved on Sunday. I can’t guarantee it, because there’s still two days left, but he’s trained the last two days.” On McTominay: “Scott failed a fitness test on Wednesday morning, so he’s going to have another one today probably to see if he’s available.” Antonio Valencia remains sidelined while Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are also doubts after missing the derby loss to City on Wednesday.
OGS on Eric Bailly: "Eric, bad knee injury. Hope it’s not the worst case. Won’t see him again this season."— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) April 28, 2019 Hate it for him and hopefully that also means he will not be sold in the summer. That performance from him today shows that when he's on, he's very good. Reckless tackle shortly before his injury aside, it was a very commanding and assured display on his part.
