As good as your hero Altidore did in five years of top flight play. I still don't understand why you say he is better than Lewandowski.*

*=I may be taking a few liberties.

This roster is borderline trash. Omar Gonzalez? Michael Bradley? I love Trapp but he is mediocre at this level. Ream is past it and Morris has played two professional games in the past year. There's way too much dead weight on this roster.

So... apparently GB is gonna play Tyler Adams at right back and DeAndre Yedlin as a winger. Um.... are we sure this isn’t Jurgen with a GB mask on Mission Impossible style?

I don't understand it myself. If Bradley or OG see the field, I question Ggg's ability and integrity.

Gregg already said Bradley had a place on this team, at this time, and although I don’t agree I’m willing to give the coach some leeway.

Bradley should be replaced before qualifying rounds start.

Adams is a regular starter for one of Germany’s best teams at defensive midfield. To take a player like that, and put him out wide? Seriously, WTF?

What does Bradley offer at this point? Why are we wasting time on him?

Again, I don’t agree, but Gregg said veteran leadership, experience.

In the system Berhalter is playing the Right Back tucks in to be a second defensive Midfielder in the attack. In defense he goes out right. Pep does this sometimes tool. He did this a few times with Afful with the Crew. Lima played this way in both of the last two games for the National team.

So in defense it is a flat 4-4-2 and the attack it is 3-2-4-1 or a 3-2-3-2 depending if the winger or 10 are high or wide.

Which means absolutely nothing. Cameron offers both.

Don’t care. Adams is the best CM/DM in the pool right now, period. Play him central.

It is not at all unusual for a player to be in a different position for his (or her) national team than for the club team. Think of St. Dunc for one--mostly a midfielder with the Crew but a back with NZ (and he was a forward in college).

But you are. I doubt he will be running the channel with chalk on his boots. That is what Yedlin or Arriola will do that. And I bet he even gets a shot or two in. It is a way to get all the best players on the field at once.

Would it help to call him RCM on the right? Because essentially against a standard 4-2-3-1 that is what he will play. Did you see how Afful played this way last year with the Crew? Did you see Lima in the last two games

    Trapp and Zardes are starting.

I made a ginger syrup today so if anyone has cocktail ideas feel free to offer them.

Sounds very interesting. Id experiment some. The easy ones would be like vodka and soda to try and balance the sweetness but Id even try rum and a friut, lime maybe. Or an herbal touch like sage. Obviously something like Campari or Crown but you can do getter I think. I'm intrigued.. I love ginger.

I like this US team. They're clearly just kids learning the game and each other. They're like one big lump of clay.

If Bethalter can turn them into somethihg, and I think he can, we may really have a team capable if doing some damage. Im sorry that the Gold Cup is this June. That probably isn't enough time.

Even though he plays for DCU, I’ve been impressed with Paul Nipple. Jordan Morris has had some gaffes. Nothing against Tim Ream, but we need to work with younger folk than him.

Trapp with a thigh contusion. Usually not a major injury, but hoping he’s ok.
