Club is utter shite, thus the forum has died. Can't say it's undeserved. The club doesn't deserve the game day fan support it gets. If any good online discussion is happening elsewhere turn a brother on. Thanks.

It really is a symptom of the malaise in the fandom.

The supporters go on autopilot, but there are many of us--myself included--that are vocal in our dissatisfaction with the path of the club since... well, really since we got our expansion slot.

Phil completely checked out pretty much the moment we got the expansion slot. It's no surprise he divested and moved on. What's hilarious is that his (now ex-)wife turned out to care more than he did.

Our new owners don't seem to have interest in the community, or in running a competent football club. I just get the feeling that they see Orlando City as something that can be exploited to promote the city to Brazilian tourists.

Looking back, we really can't blame any of the coaching staff. I don't think Heath, Kreis, or even really O'Connor were/have been given the necessary resources or leeway to produce a winning club.

I hate to say it, but at this point we'd be better off if the team were bought out by the DeVos family. At least with the Magic, we have signs of some competence there now.

They probably wouldn't be much more successful with a soccer club, but at least they would be trying.

Yeah man, I think you hit it square on the head and it's such a shame. You have such an opportunity in that community to be adored and cherished but either no one in the hierarchy cares or they are just clueless.

Well, there's more discussion happening at https://www.reddit.com/r/OCLions/ . I guess. I don't know if I'd really call it "good discussion" since basically everyone agrees that this is a bad team with bad players who play bad soccer and all hope is futile because existence is suffering, but there's at least more complaining about it.

I think it's a mix of the two.

I am certainly convinced that it's always been a case of the higher-ups where some don't care, and some just don't have the knowledge to do the right thing.

I just wish I knew how it could be fixed.
